I really like the Pitt qb Pickett.. it’s sort of off topic since he’s only a freshman, but he’s holding his own, making some key throws and runs and is about to beat Miami
that youngster at Washington is pretty good too.... but he aint in the 2018 class either, lol

actually... just looked... me MIGHT come out... he is a junior... I thought he was younger than that.... dude still needs some development but looks like he has solid tools to work with...even though he is another short QB... listed at 6'2"... which means 6 foot right? Jake Browning is his name.... might be best for him to stay and play his senior year

He's RG3 not Vick. Griffin developed into a great passer at Baylor.

There's some similarities with Mariotta but he was 6'4" 225.
RG3 was a waaaaay better pocket passer then Lamar has ever shown.

I think for Jackson to succeed, he has to sit out for a year and learn the system. I wouldn't suggest BA's system, but someone who could play to his strengths.

That's true. Lamar's completion % has never come close to RG3's, and Lamar has more of a propensity to run...which is what makes him so good in college. Just can't imagine that style of play being effective in the NFL without suffering massive injuries.

I'm not looking too much into completion %. Louisville takes a lot of shots downfield and his receiving core leads the nation in drop %. I do agree that RG3 was unbelievable as a passer his last year in college.

Jackson seems to anticipate throws well and has a good balance of velocity and touch this year.

Not to mention a big strength of Lamar, which was a big weakness of RG3, is that Lamar knew how & when to take hits.

During breaks in the Ohio State game I've been watching Rudolph. He's by no means a one read QB. I've seen him go through progressions many times. I don't understand why people don't like him but there's definitely a mixed bag of opinions on him.

He's going thru progressions vs Kansas? Yikes...

Baker Mayfield misses one series(for his suspension) and is now in the game.

It does not sound like Josh Allen is going to play today.

Who was the bonehead on here saying Rudolph was a one read qb the other day? I responded, it was so stupid but I can't recall who it was...

You say Lamar is behind Rudolph in terms of going through progressions even though Rudolph is a 1-read-&-go just like most Big 12 QBs? Rudolph literally plays in a offense that doesn’t make him go through all his progressions. I can’t take you seriously if you think Rudolph is ahead of Lamar in that department(or any other department for that matter).

Lamar went from average to good in terms of scanning the field. If you watched all his games, you would see it.
Ahhh, I found the bonehead post. Rudolph the 1 read guy? DVONTEL, do you actually watch or understand football?

Your guy is a future clipboard holder. We’ll come back to this in 2-3 years if I can remember.

What does that have to do with anything? Are there 11 guys playing defense? The fact that he was going his progressions is irrelevant to who he was playing.

In fact, as you insinuate, if the Kansas defense is so bad he shouldn't have to go through multiple reads. The first read should be wide open.

He would have a chance to start over Stanton right now, possibly Gabbert. I bet he has a chance to start his 1st year, depending on the team. Cleveland he would for sure, might be a short lived career though, unfortunately.
