It was amazing, moving through beautiful, untouched Croatia, across the Sava into war-torn Bosnia. Surreal, really.

I went to Dubrovnik and Split. I wish I got to spend more time there especially Dubrovnik. I would love to go back one day. I also went to Kotor.

I have to say, Belgium is looking like the clear favorite at the moment.

The only negative thing you can say about them is that they've never won the world cup. if any other previous winner had that roster they would be darlings.

wow what a show they put on today. they take off their two goal scorers and move DeBruyne up higher and they just get even better. Batman should have had a hat trick and Lukaku might have won the golden boot if he stayed on.

Germany certainly didn't play like a team with a man down. Hats off to Germany to pull of the win.

some are saying they were actually better with boateng sent off. lol...he's their scape goat. a lot of their problems from the mexico match were on display again. If they continue to show that attitude towards defending they will be heavily punished by a side that has quality. with that said they still have a juggernaut of attacking players. they are not putting the ball in the net.

this group F is amazing. don't even bother reading about the potential scenarios. as good as mexico have been they could still miss the knockouts if they are upset by sweeden. from what I saw from sweeden that will be a very difficult match for mexico because mexico are struggling to score goals and could be beaten on the counter. I would not count out south korea either. they have one or two players that can find the net on their own. H-M Son is probably the best opposing (counter) attacker germany will have faced.

harry kane will score 4 goals if they keep defending set pieces like that. If I recall this is how panama defended Christian pulisic and get away with it in Concacaf, but you see them in a real match with proper referees and they cannot defend anyone.

After that, well...it's Panama v England. England found their legs off the back of those two goals and just dominated. Put that together with Panama falling apart like a 10 cent watch, and you get 5-nil at the half.

no I went on an Adriatic cruise and over to Olympia and Athens. but I got to walk the city walls, it is gorgeous. rivals anything I've ever seen in beauty.

fair assessment. panama should have scored early with the chance they had. the set pieces have brought them under. they are wrestling and playing against the referee. I'm glad that they are enforcing the rules..
