I find it hard to believe we will take a kicker.

I can't believe how poor the draft coverage on the NFL Network is. I thought it was supposed to be the more detailed alternative for real fans. They haven't let Mayock breakdown a player in like an hour.

Another CB. I guess the Cardinals are really stocking up.

OVERALL FOOTBALL TRAITS
Production 1 "2008: (12/11) - 54-4-2 2009: (11/11) - 79-3-0 2010: (10/10) - 59-3-1 2011: (11/11) - 87-6-4 Career: 14.5TFL-2.5Sacks-4FF-1FR-9Blocked Kicks"
Height-Weight-Speed 3 "Top-end speed is slightly above average and height is average but bulk is below average. Possesses longer arms (32 3/8') and big hands (9 3/4'). Tested well across the board at the combine; 39 5/8 VJ, 10-11 BJ, 6.79 three-cone. "

Durability 2 Missed a game with an injury in 2010 but was a four-year starter and durability isn't a long-term concern at this point.

Intangibles 1 Four-year starter and 2011 team captain. Special teams standout. First player from Presbyterian College to attend the combine. There are obvious concerns about the level of completion faced at college level but he held own against Cal in 2011 and at the 2012 East West Shrine game.

1 = EXCEPTIONAL2 = ABOVE AVERAGE3 = AVERAGE4 = BELOW AVERAGE5 = MARGINAL

SAFETY SPECIFIC TRAITS
Instincts/Recognition 3 Reads quarterback's eyes. Flashes the ability to read and jump routes but arguably takes too many chances. Gets caught jumping up and can let receivers get behind him when he has deep responsibilities. Vulnerable to play-action. Average job of locating and tracking crossers in underneath zone.

Cover Skills 3 "Fluid enough to turn and run with tight ends. However, there is some tightness in hips and he is not a player that teams should feel comfortable asking to match up with explosive slot receiver. Allows too much separation transitioning out of breaks and doesn't recover well. Enough range to cover deep half but doesn't have the second gear to hold up in a centerfielder-type role. "

Ball Skills 2 "Above average upside in this area. Long arms (32 3/8), big hands (9 3/4) and top vertical (39 5/8) out of all the defensive backs at the combine. Takes sound angles to the ball when it's in the air. However, can be more aggressive and attack the ball in 50-50 situations. Failed to come down with jump ball at the end of the first half of the 2011 Stony Brook game. "

Run Support 3 "Plays with an edge but may need to control emotions better. Flagged for late hit in the Georgia Southern game. Not an in-the-box safety. Has average upper body strength (19 reps of 225 at the combine) and takes too long to get off blocks. On the other hand, doesn't shy away from contact and is willing to sacrifice body to make the play. Wraps up and doesn't miss many tackles. Takes sound angles for the most part and has above average motor when chasing the run. "

ESPN Draft Tracker shows him as Safety. Better prospect than Allen?

I think Horton is getting more of what he wants talent wise at CB.

It appears he is good with our Safeties at this point but that could just be how weak a safety class this is.

Bethel seems like a long shot to make the roster with all of our other CB's on the roster.. maybe a guy to stash on the practice squad?

Yeah walterfootball has him as a safety too. That's good though, got more players for needs who are also one of the BPA.
