This, the way he used MHJ, and other stuff makes me not want Petzing back next year.

Agree. Play calling has been our biggest issue at WR. They need to scheme to the WR strengths. They finally did that with Dorth today. They need to do it more with Marvin

Not really a fair assessment. Last game with no real meaning. Add disappointment to the way the season ended and it squelches the enthusiasm of the good vibes of the game.

Considering the OL that the 49ers ran out there, it's pretty shocking and sad that Xavier Thomas and Darius Robinson did almost nothing. But pulling conclusions from this is essentially the same as projecting anything from the third preseason game. Kei'Trel Clark played 58% of the defensive snaps.

One thing I can say is that no one felt Christan Jones was ready to play. He had a ton of help on the right side of that line.

I thought Christian Jones acquitted himself pretty well for his first game. I saw plenty of one-on-one blocks where he held his own. I'm guessing that the Cards were surprised at his performance.

When it comes to youthful talent, the Arizona Cardinals have plenty.

There is a chance that Aaron Brewer will be the oldest player on the roster next year at 35 and then Conner and Collier at 30.

Barnwell and the DVOA team do a snap-weighted age ranking in mid- to late-January. We'll have a better idea then. My bottom line has been we're a young offense and an old defense; I think that was still the case and maybe worse this year. Here's last year's ranking.
