This was meant for stout who was rooting for Skelton :)

I know this is not the ideal situation but consider the alternative of going into the season with Kolb as starter [/shudders]
lol, oh OK, gotcha. And either is shudder-worthy behind center. I hope Skelton is the savior so many have him built up to be, but I just haven't seen **** that indicates that...

I would not say that was a steal at all, but it would make a good trade for a player we might have cut in the future. Jefferson did start for us, so how bad is the Viking secondary.

The Vikings secondary is pretty bad. Like Cardinals 2000's bad.

AJ Jefferson will start there no problem.

Doesn't matter, he's our QB and you want us to win right? No matter what sucky QB is behind center?

Truth is, Skelton is going to look sweet behind center come game one, with game-plans, and TE's blocking and RB's chipping, he's going to look all world. He really will. In preseason he had nobody helping block, with no gameplans, and no leaks and chips, no nothing. I have a feeling he's going to look spectacular in our eyes come game one.

yup. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, I admitted it with Kolb. If Skelton proves me wrong, it would be a great day when I admit I'm wrong there too. I'll buy a jersey

I'm with you bro, I was all Kolb, all in. There's still a part of me thinks we should have been sure, without a doubt sure. But I trust this Org, and if it's Skeletor let's rock it with him.

(I have to say though, for those of us saying Whis can't judge QB's and then be saying Skelton is a great choice...it doesn't instill a lot of confidence!)

The problem with Whiz's ability to judge QBs is that the only ones available to us are guesses regardless. Any that we've seen enough to say "this guy will take us to the super bowl" will never be available. It looked like Peyton was, but he seemed to pull some monkey business in his free agency...

Agree, but it's still this org and coach getting our QB's. It's a tough biz dude. Jeff Lurie just told Andy Reid he was on the hot seat, better not go worse than 8-8 and the dude just buried his son. Tough biz dude. Way tough. That's hardcore.

yeah man, Philly is poopy to it's sports teams though. I thought our coaches and FO have done a pretty good job so far. You can only do so much at once. I thought the D transformation was epic. Special Teams as well. We added some weapons on offense and just need to tie up a few spots and I think we'll be a very tough team. One spot is OC though. Whiz hasn't done a damn thing after Warner (who could call his own plays) left. I hope he's a smart enough head coach to see this...

Father in the hospital, swamped with school work, a goofball chick that won't leave me alone, my soccer team upchucking on the last day of the transfer window, the Pirates losing a game they should have won through gross mismanagement...so Skelton starting is a good thing, and the Jefferson trade is nice, but...yeah, not a great day.
Sorry to hear... Hope things get better soon.

Vikings have better pass rush than we do, so that should help AJ. Who knows isn't it possible that he gets switched to safety. Didn't they (MN) do that with Corey Chavous?

This ain't yo daddy's cardinals.... This stuff never would have happened before.

Who woulda thunk AJ Jefferson was even tradeable?

I did and said it in an earlier post. Saw some terrible CB coverage in the pre-season and thought some team would offer something to avoid hoping for the best through waivers. Heck! Indy is going to put in a claim on just about everyone who can potentially add value to their roster.

Well it's good to see we might actually get a pick out of Jefferson.

Shane: what are you talking about this isn't the same old Cardinals? We got Marquis Walker for Thomas Jones way back in 2003! :p

Mitch: Sure sign that the NFL has turned pass happy that you called the NFC North a pass happy Division when the career passing yardage leader for two of the teams are Bobby Layne for the Lions and Sid Luckman for the Bears. :)

Jurecki tweets conditional draft pick(s)

Ok perfect. When the Cardinals play the Vikings, they will get a huge lead. Then in 4th quarter they put Lindley in the game with the only purpose to throw 3 INTs to AJ Jefferson so we earn that 4th round round pick :)

Getting anything for Jefferson- who was a UDFA- is a great job by GM R.Graves!

Go Cardinals!

Truth is???

Hope you're right, but, I can easily imagine 10 doing their job and then a pass sailing 10 feet over Fitz's head.

Any update on this.

Thus far it seems its conditional pick(s).

Conditional upon what is the important thing. The Vikings winning the SB? AJ dressing game 1? AJ starting a game? And what round, I wonder. Cant be high. Probably a 6th or so.

The initial pick probably relates to being on the week one roster and anything else relates to games dressed, starts or snaps.

I think Jefferson could become a very good CB/S---he's got all the physical tools (size and speed) and he was blanketing receivers the past few weeks. In a pass happy division like the NFC North, Jefferson gives the Vikings a cover CB who can match up on the bigger WRs and TEs.

Give the Vikings a lot of credit on this one---they did a very good job finding an under the radar talent.

Totally agree.
