Yeah, I live less than a mile as the sober crow flies from the old Riverside International Raceway. It's now a Mall and much quieter than it used to be but at one time it was a very popular filming site for Hollywood and the TV industry. The Steven is still against acquiring Bynum though; the noise, dusty air and fumes from the old RIR weren't enough to drive me that crazy.

I used to go out to the races at RIR in the early sixties. One thing I remember clearly was the colossal traffic jams when it was over. It was the heyday of British racing - Lotus, BRM, Cooper. Stirling Moss was king then but I can't swear I saw him running there. The names I remember are Jack Brabham, Bruce McClaren, Graham Hil, Roger Penske - before he started racing at Indy. I lived in Venice at the beach - it was anything but trendy then - and worked at a nearby Douglas Aircraft site.
Since the Bulls are hitting the reset button maybe they'd be interested in trading Noah. He's only 28 which isn't that old for a center and he'd add another level to the crazy defense.

He's definitely a STAR. After losing Rose and Deng trading Noah would probably catapult the Bulls into a top 4 pick. Right now they're the 6th seed with nothing to gain.
I don't think Noah alone is going to keep them in the playoffs--and I'm willing to bet that he is now the only commodity they have. So when Rose gets back and they presumably get a good pick this summer, what happens next year? They won't be in any better of a place if they get rid of their only good big man. Derrick Rose won't want to be part of a complete rebuild.
I don't follow them at all but I'd have to wonder if they even consider Rose a part of their rebuilding plan.

Bynum for Deng? Dang.
That's just criminal.
It's really three picks for Deng. Bynum was just to make the numbers work.
The Suns traded Deng for ONE pick that they didn't even use.

Exactly this. Also, next season Nikola Mirotic is coming over and he is get rave reviews in Europe right now. Add that is the Bobcats pick, which is top 10 protected this year, and we should have two good picks.
I'll admit I don't follow Euro basketball as closely as I have in the past, but I am not aware of Mirotic coming to the NBA. Last I heard he was making $5M or so in Spain, and Real was working on an extension. Can you point me to the source that says he is coming to the NBA next year?
In order to entice Mirotic, the Bulls will have to give him some part of their mid-level exception. As a taxpayer, that would be just $3.3 million, which would leave his salary at just about $500,000, a serious slash in pay. (Teams over the luxury tax are only allowed a ‘mini' mid-level exception) But the full mid-level starts at $5.3 million, and if Mirotic were given that much, he would have a starting salary, after the buyout, of about $2.5 million.
That is still a pay cut, but if the Bulls were to offer something in the range of a three-year contract worth $16 million, Mirotic would more than make up for the cost of the buyout over time. Or, the Bulls could give him a shorter deal that allows him to hit free agency, giving him the chance to cash in on his talents quickly.
That’s why Deng’s departure — either now, later in the season or in the offseason — was practically predetermined. It puts the Bulls in a much more flexible position generally, but especially when it comes to Mirotic.
Not really, Bynum gives Chicago a $20 million savings this year since they get to cut him, his salary and the lux tax hit that goes along with it. So, its Deng for 3 picks and $20 million.
Why wouldn't you? This knee injury is not near what the first one was.
