So, did the Cardinals actually lie to him or not? I know he's pissed because he thought he was going to get a new contract but was there a specific timetable to when that was going to happen?

Drew needs to get better spin guys. If Q would have said that he wasn't going to celebrate until we had won the whole thing, I think people would have respected him a bit more. Saying he left so it wouldn't become a story is just stupid.

for the FWIW file:

Bickley this morning made mention of something happening in the week prior to the Carolina game with Rosenhaus and the Cardinals-- he doesnt know what it was, but he doesnt think that this is all a coincidence that Rosenhaus showed up in town 10 days ago and then all this stuff happens.

The ironic thing about it, is Q fails miserably at being a Rosenhaus tool.

R: "Q, you have throw a fit and hold out if you want the $"!

Q: "I don't want to throw a fit, I want to play football"...

Oh, I don't know about that. He gave it a pretty good try.

This is all about money and Rosensuck picked the biggest stage to have his client stage a walkout and cause a controversy for his team. There is no coincidence here. Q is not who we thought he was.

Shane, do you really think what Q said about NOT wanting the media line to be about him & Haley is feasible? If he REALLY wanted to diffuse the situation, don't you think the better bet would be to celebrate with the team, maybe find Haley in the crowd & give him a hug or something? Hell, your team is going to the SUPER BOWL. Everyone loved everyone at the end of the game. Except Q. All his actions did was ENSURE the media would be all about him & Haley...not to keep it from being about him & Haley.

Yeah I buy it. Dont agree with it but I buy it. We all make poor judgement at times and realize we made the wrong one later.

That Bickley, all deep in the facts and knowledge. He must have got that info from the Cardinals Outsider himself!

:D

Your right. Rosenhause predicted that Haley would do that during the game and then told Q to do what he did before the game even started. No coincidence at all.

Ding ding ding... winner! It seems like this another step by step play from Drew in order to force the cards hand and have us trade Boldin.

I bet Drew told him to Anquan to wear a green shirt to the game and then start an argument with a coach so he would have an "excuse" (if you can call it that) to leave. Maybe I'm reading way to much into this, but that is my opinion.

At least know he can't pull the "I want to play for a winner" tactic. Sheesh. Get a clue, Q. We are all envious at some point in our lives, but don't let it ruin what is beautiful.

That was the trigger(Q, haley blowup) but not enjoying the moment and leaving without acknowledging the accomplishment of his teammates was script 101 of a malcontent propogated by his agent to send a message. I have to go with Bickley on this...this was no coincedence at all. Q has fired the first shot and did not wait until the offseason as he said he would. Get what you can get for him Cards.

Meh. Rosenhaus and other big agents are known to attend big games their clients are playing in.

...and STILL did it badly...his heart is not with Rosenhaus...it is with us and the team.

He didn't celebrate the NFC Championship...his loss.

I bet he celebrates the Super Bowl if we win it.

Rosenhaus is the "siren's song" and is devishly clever. Remember the draft where McGahee was picked by the Bills in the 1st rd. Rosenhaus faked being on the phone with another team to entice the Bills to draft the injured RB. Who knows if this made a difference or not but it's great pub for DR.

He just keeps whispering in Q's ears. They don't appreciate you. You deserve Fitz money.
You would be paid like Fitz if you had been drafted where you should have been. You are not getting the respect you deserve from anyone except me and your family. BLAH BLAH etc. DR knows Q's inner demons and what buttons to push.

Q does have issues or this crap from DR wouldn't work. Q is far better than where he was drafted. Q has laid it on the line for this team. Q is one of those Core players that helped the Cards reach this Lofty Perch. He did have his face broken and came back before most mere mortals.

Q is watching his status diminished with the hamstring injury and the Incredible play of Fitz. He feels cast aside and impotent. His Warrior's heart and pride are not reacting well to this.

As I read the posts I can't help but think of General Patton. He made mistakes because of his Warriors heart and it takes him forever to get back to his original status.
Prideful and ego driven he keeps shooting himself in the foot. Patton finally does understand his mistakes and learns to put his inner demons aside and is the biggest contributor to helping the allies win WWII. Great Men aren't without flaws. Truly Great Men figure out how to deal with their flaws.

DR is not going to help Q with his flaws, he will keeping pushing buttons with one objective. SHOW ME THE MONEY.

Q - Time to get your inner demons under control.

I hope your right Redheart. The guy needs to get his head right and not let any of his contract stuff detract from a Super Bowl appearance. It is not every season you get this opportunity. He needs to put all else aside and enjoy and prepare to win this game. I felt all along the Cards would do there part and step up and give him a new contract but it is becoming very obvious he does not want to be in Arizona. Give us your heart one more game and win this Super Bowl. Then Cards should do the right thing and let him find a value for both sides. He is a great player and a Super Bowl title here would wash away any ill feelings for everyone I would think. That is what it is all about. Q don't make it all about you. This has been a team effort. Keep it that way.

Anquan Boldin is a top tier player. Anquan Boldin has always been a jerk. He was the same kind of person at FSU. Always has been a " me first " guy. Has carried a huge chip on his shoulder. Wanted to play QB at FSU, and pouted his whole stay at FSU, cause Bobby made him a WR/KR/ etc. Really pissed off because the NFL made him a 2nd round pick. The guy has issues and anger. Some things never change.

BTW, Todd Haley is a Bill Parcell's trained guy and doesn't coddle players.

There is a lot of truth to this... the source notwithstanding.... :p

I think some of you are taking this a lliiiiiitle too far. while i think this certainly has to do with all the fame fitz is getting, and the money.. I really dont believe this is some kind of pre planned thing. and the green shirt? come on it was lime green.

Does anyone else notice that boldin doesnt seem to care, nor does he have that fire in him he always used to.. i never see him do his first down tomahawk chop anymore... i loved that. I think the last piece of the puzzle just fell in to place and (hopefully) this is going to be Qs last game in a cards uniform.

Redheart -- I think this is wishful thinking.

If his heart was even 51% with the team, the blowup is forgotten by the time the gun sounds and he celebrates with his team.

Think about how much time passed after the blowup, and the tension everyone was feeling as the Eagles got the ball back -- they moved the ball a bit before turning it over on downs. There were like 5 timeouts called between the two teams during the last 2.15 of game clock.

And FWIW-- Boldin went back in the game. He was lined up right in the screen to Hightower that resulted in the winning TD.

Yet -- he stayed po'd about the slight he felt through all that -- so much so that he wouldnt even celebrate with the guys on the team.

Drew was waiting for Q as they walked out the building. The fight with Haley was not premeditated. The fight with haley would have been a non-story if Q wouldn't have bolted out the back door. But the fact that Drew.....not Anquan's family or anyone else, but Drew Rosenhaus was waiting embrace Q and walk out the back door in front of media, shows me that it was a premeditated move. If it wasn't, why wasn't Drew on the field celebrating with Edge, Dockett, and his other clients? He knew where to be and when to be there. The fight on the sideline gets too much publicity in this situation. If Q had 300 yards receiving he still would have left. It was the fact he turned his back on his teammates and organization, a planned move to basically tell the Cards to stick it, that should be the focus, not the arguement. He wanted to make a point and he was successful. He will get his wish to leave AZ. Unfortunately he severely damaged his reputation in the process and no on-filed actions will change that because he showed the world that winning means a lot less than his contract or status.

I just hope Boldin gets three touchdown passes in the Super Bowl (two less than Fitz). I will then worry about next year and his status. Go Cards!!!

(Rosenhaus is a dirtbag)

there's no way the fight was pre-meditated. What i think happened was Q was basically a non-factor on the biggest stage of his career. All that could of been made up for if he makes a big play on the biggest drive of the year,or even scores the TD. Not even being in the game and having a chance to make a play probably sent him over the top.Like i said earlie, Fitz blowing up didn't help his cause either. The last 2 playoff games Fitz has,5 TD's??, to Q 's 4 catches and the Cards put up 33 and 32 points against top defenses with Boldin being a non-factor. That really doesn't help his case, leverage-wise, with the Cards.
