I'll be very disappointed if the Suns re-sign Frye. They need to move on, the sooner the better.

Right, I see his potential opt out as a blessing. A gift. If they sign him to more years I'll be pretty disappointed.

I must be weird cuz i always read the thread to make sure I don't repeat info or ask questions that have already been answered. Doesn't bother me when others don't, I just find it odd. :)

I do as well for the most part, however, sometimes it happens. I don't fret about it because to me... it's no biggie. I'm just happy when the board is busy enough to miss the occasional post.

Same here as far as reading the thread first. (I guess it does bother me a little. Let the first one slide and said something the second time.)

I think the Suns should move on if Frye opts out as well. Also the Suns can draft a similar player if he opts out like Adrien Payne who has more upside.

BC will shed some tears if he moves on. :p
Channing is a good person. I am glad he came through his heart problem OK. Especially with losing his 3-point shooting touch, he has just worn out his usefulness here.

Another thought, it would not surprise me to see Frye opt out and the Suns spread a new contract over a number of years.
Then I'll shed some tears. That would be the opposite of addition by subtraction.

It would be subtraction by addition. Filling a big man's roster spot with a softie.

Does nobody read the other posts? You're the third person to report this in this very thread.

No need to be a jerk, I was on a site and there was an ESPN alert where Marc Stein said he would opt out. Nice thread crap though. Congrats.

Even with missing 39 games last year he averages 18 missed games a season for his career.

I understand that. With two identical surgeries on the same knee, that average is gonna change. If it doesn't, I will be oh so happy to have been wrong.

He had knee surgery and came back in just under 2 months.

The hate Bledsoe gets is absolutely baffling.

He's missed 87 games in the last 3 years. IMO this is the only reason he is not a slam dunk max player.

The world is the Suns oyster at this time of year with the draft, trades and free agency looming. Let's be happy folk and enjoy the moment!

JC, it's not about "tall". It never has been. It is about "power" -- a strong presence in the post. Especially as the season wears on.

Frye is not a physical presence at Center. Nor is Plumlee. Nor is Markeiff when he plays there. Len is nowhere near ready, even if his legs hold up. Unfortunately, neither was Gortat. Lopez could have been, but he was too much of a flake.

Your sarcasm aside . . . I care not about how we look, but how we play. Think about it!

Ok. I think my frustration is rooted in how often you overstate your case.
As a result, I have the sense that you will never be satisfied.

Case in point. Plumlee is the DEFINITION of a power player. That IS his game. He does not shy away from contact, in fact, he seems to enjoy it. He does not camp outside, he is constantly going to the rim. And if there is the remotest chance he can throw it down with authority, he will do it. In style, (not effectiveness) he is more of a power player than Duncan.

While we would have loved Gortat to play with a little more authority at times, he is also a classic center as well.

Markieff has an excellent post up game. Usually he plays center when the other team is going small and our bigs put us at a disadvantage.

This team this year won games. Yes, they needed better defense, but they needed that most on the ball when Bledsoe was out.

That all said, I am fine with the Suns letting Frye walk. I can see it is time to let Markieff fill that pf role and for Len and Plumlee to fill the center role. It also gives us more free agent options at SF, which is where I think our biggest weakness is.

We might have to re-sign Frye.

Monroe and Gasol really are centers.

The PF market is what? Frye, Ed Davis and maybe Josh McRoberts?

Not counting Bosh, Nowitzki or Duncan.

You have to think that this could be a "loyalty" type move. Frye opts out but returns at a cheaper rate for 3-4 more years, giving the Suns more cap space to play with. He clearly loves being in PHX and has to appreciate how the Suns kept him in the loop as he was recovering from his heart condition.

I'm not a huge Frye fan but I do understand what he does for the offense. So I wouldn't be massively opposed to him returning at a discount and reduced role. I think Markieff needs a chance to start after playing really well last season.

Situation between Tucker and Marcus Morris is similiar although Marcus is not as ready as Markieff based on last season but Marcus was sneaky decent, more efficient than Tucker.
