After yesterday's Christmas Miracle win to salvage one game of the series against the Brewers, DBacks need to turn up the heat and feast on the bottom feeder Rockies. Houston is playing at San Diego, so perhaps the DBacks can close the gap with the Padres for WC1.

Nope. And Stinkle blows it
Lovullo is so dense. Needs to manage single-A at best. Mets won. DBacks have managed to score just 2 runs in Coors Field. Embarrassing to say the least. Continuing to use Stinkle is just like using Montgomery as a starter with a 6+ ERA.

When we don't make the playoffs you Luvelo defenders should just strew in your own poo soup

Well, they didn't score any runs after that pair in the first and their bullpen can't hold a lead, so that was a recipe for disaster.

You really have to wonder why Puk is not the closer. I firmly believe last night's game against the 93 loss woeful Rockies would have gone to extras if Puk had pitched the 9th. With the ghost runner, extras are a coin toss, but at least the DBacks would have had a chance. The offense can't be excused, either. If you only score 2 runs at Coors, you should lose. Now I'm just hoping the DBacks can win one game in this series.

LOL… Has Torey left Kelly in and he blew up in the 7th, or got injured (he left the game in his previous start due to him ongoing cramping issues), you guys would’ve blasted him for not being more mindful of Kelly’s issues.

Most baseball guys see what Torey has done this year to somehow keep this team in contention, with an historical amount of injuries to critical stars, and a bullpen that is shaky at best.
But a small % of fans who believe they can “Monday morning” weigh-in with the precise and always correct moves, believe Torey is a hindrance and a dunce. To which I can’t help by LMAO…

I am glad you like him.
As is always the case, no manager is perfect. At the end of the day, managers are left to play the cards they’ve been dealt.
Doesn’t always translate into success as players are humans after all… and baseball ain’t easy. It’s a sport where failure is a more regular occurrence than most other pro sports.

What is essential and totally within the control of the manager, is his leadership ability. How he develops relationships between himself and the players, as well as player-to-player, is vital to the success of any team.
I, along with virtually all baseball insiders, see this as one of the biggest strengths of Torey and it’s likely the biggest reason as to why this team remains in a playoff slot.

Well, they are in a playoff slot for at least the next day or two. Puk should be the closer, with Mantiply and Martinez in set up roles. The rest of the bullpen is complete and utter crap - mop up duty only. In the playoff push (and during the playoffs), you go with the hot hands - not guys with ERAs approaching 6 over the last month or two.
