The main problem are perceptions. Smat people tell me that perceptions are reality. Not true since misperceptions are not reality.

The perceptions are that Darksiders are not true fans. False.

The perceptions are that Koolaiders back management moves no matter what and are a bunch of wussies. False.

The problem with some posters is that they think that any opinion not in lock step with the Cardinals is being negative.

They also think that attacking any poster who is not in lockstep with the team is ok but not the other way around. It seems to be ok to be rude and obnoxious as long as you are supporting the Cards moves but not the other way around. I've got several of those type posters on ignore.

Criticizing the players who leave is ok but not criticizing the new guys????

I would recommend reading other teams boards across the spectrum of the internet.

Heck just read some of the comments on the AZCentral site that follow the articles.

You'll be back here in no time saying how great ASFN is.

I agree with this sentiment.

People need to back off Cardinal fans. Disagree but don't JUST put a lol and not expect more negativity to follow your post in that thread. People like to gang up here a lot.

Reply, if you disagree, but actually have a thought. If not don't reply at all.

I never knew what a darksider or koolaider was until I came in here, I just know I have only been on the darkside while DA was here. I'd say I'm both, call it koolside, dark-aid, no worries. This place is good if you need to get your Cards fix on, but if you say something too Kool or too Dark, you will have 3 to 4 posters questioning your statement because we all are experts in here. Shove and let love.

Being labeled negative or darksider doesn't really help things since it has a bad connotation. "Darksiders", in addition of having their fandom questioned just for having a dissenting opinion also have to deal with being accused of wanting players or the team to fail just so they can be proven right. I for example don't think Kolb is the solution at QB, yet I really hope I'm wrong and I'm sure the vast majority of posters who disagree with moves the team makes would love to be proven wrong as well.

Hell one of the reasons negative/darksiders can become aggressive with their views is because they desperately want the team to succeed but feel the team is doing it wrong.

That works both ways. IMO, often times, the label "koolaider" carries the connotation that you lack the ability to think for yourself. It's easy to feel like you're being laughed at for swallowing the company line. We've even been referred to as mindless sheep before. And often times, sticking up for this organization is every bit as much a "dissenting opinion" as anything the darksiders put out there. Now, it's also quite possible that much of this is just inference on my part (and on the part of other koolaiders) but I'd politely suggest that the same is true with your interpretation. I hold no ill will towards any of the posters here that offer reasoned arguments even when they are decidedly negative and I know I'm not alone in that.

Wow..You would have thought the 50 threads on Warner I wrote would have brought this thread up I had to post seeing this. I still read and visit this site everyday....Just had to go through with my 1 year hiatus..since this thread was exactly what was happening last year. Darksiders should be able to post their thoughts...especially when the season was as bad as last year.

I think the major problem is....we all have tasted the KOOLAID during our SuperBowl run....Now what is going on is upsetting, instead of the norm like it was for the previous 30 years.

I have no ill will either, and I don't even post much because I know a lot of what I'd post would be considered negative despite not being my intent. I know a lot of darksiders would prefer to be considered realists, it just so happens the reality of the Arizona Cardinals throughout the vast majority of their existence has been....less than positive.

Really my only pet peeve would be when people get called for their opinion and as time passes they still get called out even when their initial opinion was proven justified.

Noone gets blasted on this site more than Mitch which is crazy, read his latest thread and the way he is being attacked by so called "kool-aiders". It is rediculous and i have not heard one mention of that at all. Wether you like the guys ideas or not he puts a lot of thought and work into his posts and should not take the beating he has taken. He is his own man and doesnt need me fighting his battles but if anything is sickening its the same people who berate the guy.

Again, it seems some Cardinals fans are almost pushed out the door, and some that leave are dragged back. That is to the mods descrection and I respect that but it is what it is.

I also agree that this kind of attitude does rot away the board, but the "shut up or leave" mantra has been around for years.

I was told it enough that I try very hard to never get into a discussion where that is a valid point to bring up.

Thought it was an excepted way to treat each other after reading it for so many years.

Again, if this is an actual change that the board wants to make, then I am all for it.

the problem with that is the question: if merely using facts MAKES you a jerk, what else can you do? And the idea that all the other side has to do is "use facts" means they aren't being jerks as well, no? I mean, that behavior is SPECIFICALLY saved for the negative people and isn't used to describe the other side at all in what you agreed to, am I wrong?

Whoa. I said people can be negative, just don't be jerks about it. I didn't say the negative people here were being jerks and to knock it off. And I certainly did not mean to imply that those that took a more positive approach to things were never jerks. It goes both ways.

This was the point I was trying to make ... Some (key word being some) people seem to think that if you are always positive, koolaider, Cards-can-do-no-wrong then you ignore the facts. Then there are some (again, key word)that think those who are more negative, doom-and-gloom, darksiders are always jerks just because they get a little testy. (He he. She said testy.) That doesn't mean that you aren't a jerk if you are more on the positive/hopeful side, and it doesn't mean that you got all your facts right if you are a darksider, or vice versa.

Personally, I can go from darksider to koolaid chugger and back in no time flat. That's what this team does to me. I honestly see both sides.

I just don't think it would kill anybody here to be a little nicer to his or her fellow posters ... well, maybe it would kill a few on both sides of the fence, but we'll manage. I keed, I keed. Seriously, I'm kidding.
