Toler returned a fumble for a TD against the Chargers? Why didn't it count?

No he put the crushing hit on the guy CAUSING said fumble. 2nd FF this year BTW.

The Cards have lost their last 3 games against top caliber NFL Teams 45-14, 41-7 and 41-10. I don't blame us.

unhappy and disappointed is one thing

deciding that the coach's plan is to intentionally run your 1st round RB into the line over and over to hurt his knee again is unhinged

And that takes away from Rhodes picking the ball up and running it into the end zone how? Even you didn't belittle Dansby's TD vs Green Bay because it was Adams who delivered the hit that actually caused the fumble.

Kerry could have tripped over his own feet and let the Chargers pick it up like say Eric Green vs the 4and9ers.

You going to be in a bad mood all week?

Im not in a bad mood at all. You are apparently. I never took anything away from what Rhodes did it was great. I just added a person to the equation. :)

Trying to be funny. Nothing more or less.

This means you are pulling my chain. :p

mulli means you think the poster is off base or has made a mistake or you are a Cards fan who doesn't have enough sense to move somewhere warm.

More classes tomorrow.

Oop I forgot this:

I generally don't like the sideline psychology that goes into watching professional sports, I think that you make some good points but I still think that Whiz is going to do what he feels gives the team the best chance at winning.

Agree and thanks for answering several points of Mitches.

I think that ultimately what is going on right now is that the ownership, anticipating a lockout next year, told Whiz "Look, we'll give you this big extension, but we're going to have a low budget team this year. Make the most of it and plan for the future."

That is ultimately why we didn't pursue McNabb and why we went with DA and cut Matt. That is why we cut Rolle. That is why we wouldn't "overpay" for Dansby in order to keep our D strong. Why we traded Boldin.

Whiz looked at the dollar signs. He thought to himself, "Ok. I can be a yes man to ownership for one year. Have a nice draft. When the labor dispute is resolved it will finally be my team with my players. In the mean time, since I'm being forced to go with scrub QBs and a gutted defense, I'll cash my paycheck and try to find some diamonds in the rough."

The last 3 years ownership actually spent the money to keep this team deep. Warner retired and we cleared the books. It's really no surprise that we suck. Whiz is simply playing the cards he's been dealt.

Makes a lot more sense then Whiz is evil.

Reading this board, you'd think we're 0-4... Sure, we've had two terrible losses, but we've also won two games so far, and have done exactly what has been expected so far in terms of W/L in a transition year.

It's funny that certain people here are willing to place all the blame on Whis, but fail to place any of the blame on the front office.

Further, it seems ridiculous to use Warner in an example criticizing Whiz, considering Warner himself is telling everyone to take a deep breath, and to trust Whis.

"I no Cards nation is in a panic, but based on what I no of Coach Wiz, I have complete confidence he will make RIGHT decisions & rally troops"

Obviously we're going to lose this week, and the usual suspects will rail against Whis, and bitch and moan, but let's try to keep the whining to a minimum until we lose a game we shouldn't.

Agree.

It's really hard to respond to this ridiculousness in a polite way. Think whatever you want, the guy has been the OC on a super bowl winning team, and has been a major part of another offense that made it to the super bowl and past the first round of the playoffs last year. You clearly are pretty objective about the matter though.

I wonder how many of the current lynch mob were cheering during the SB run?

Does everyone think that Whiz is twirling his mustache while plotting to ruin the lives of his potential star players?

Evidently many do. Simply mind boggling.

If you are the Bidwill's and your main source of income is the team, you can either spend like crazy to do as you say and have a really weird budget next year during the lockout, or you can bank in this year. While it'd be great if the fans loved the team, if opposing fans buy tickets to your home games you still get paid as an owner.

If there is a lockout, it's pretty unpredictable as to what the fans feelings will be. There's already been numerous people who have said if there is a lockout they will stop watching football as they did with baseball in the past. It doesn't really matter what their feelings are going into the lockout, a year off is a long time for feelings to change.

Quick making so much sense.

this board has officially gone insane

It's time for a lock down before the inmates burn the entire place down.

Put down the hater-aide. I think the players like him and respect him. Look at Dockett's trust in him. Look some bone head moves have been made but I think Kurt leaving surprised them and I think this potential pre-lockout season has a lot to do with some of the choices.

Not sure they should have been so suprised about KW leaving. Fully agree with your point about DD.

Please STOP this nonsense!!!!!!!!! My Goodness, how long have you been a Cardinal fan? We're 2-2, and working through a very difficult transition. I have seen MANY, MANY garbage teams & HC's in my 46 years as a Cardinal fan. Can we not give Whiz the benefit of the doubt after he rescued this team from 20 years of shitdom in the desert??? I just can't stand reading this garbage day after day. Whiz's resume reads SUCCESS everywhere he's been. The guy took a woeful franchise & put them back on the map. Professional football is all about W's, plain & simple. I'd rather be 2-2 with 2 lopsided W's, than be 1-3 or 0-4 & losing by a combined 7 pts. I'VE SEEN THE CARDINALS DO THAT MANY TIMES IN THE PAST!!!!! You're left thinking that "Oh we're really close to being good, we really could be & should be 3-1". That's BS. Whiz has taught these guys how to win, no matter how ugly it sometimes appears.

Whiz is an old school type of HC & he won't band-aid his problems, even if it means we have a few ugly L's in the process. Marty Schottenheimer was similar in that respect. He took $hit teams & slowly turned them into winners & solid winners. Whiz will do the same. You Benedict Arnolds are killing me. Please stop the whining & get back to your lives. Leave Whiz to deal with this. The team is in good hands, just wait & see.

I have been agreeing with a lot of your posts lately. This is another one.

unhappy and disappointed is one thing

deciding that the coach's plan is to intentionally run your 1st round RB into the line over and over to hurt his knee again is unhinged

Again I find myself agreeing with you a lot.

football karma is en fuego.

Hey you have to cut me some slack. I no longer have NFL Sunday ticket so don't get to watch all the games at home on HD TV. My son and I had to go to 3 bars before we found one with Sunday ticket and missed the first part of the game. I didn't even know Toler was involved.

That sucks but is duly noted. If it makes you feel better I no longer have Sundays off. I don't watch the game till about midnight on Sunday night. Sucks bad. Someone is ruining it for me via text. Or in
Person they say something giving it away.

Everyone is jumping on the comments Beanie made. Well it is one player who has said anything remotely inappropriate. That means 52 other players understand what Whiz is preaching.

Whiz typically has his players backs during press conferences. With two blow out losses it is time to stop pulling all his punches. I for one don't need a HC who explodes and screams during a press conference aka Denny Green or Mora or Herm Edwards or is snotty like Parcells etc.

I agree with Shane (as usual) that the crack about no QB this week was funny. I also appreciated the honesty and touch of humor that not naming a QB was not for strategy because DA (who himself admits he has been stinking) and Max Hall (undrafted rookie) would not scare any team. This was his response to a reporters question. People are calling Whiz out for his lack of honesty but then jumps on him when he doesn't spin.

Now for complete disclosure. I have had evil thoughts and heard the whispers from the dark side. What truly still has me baffled is how the ML situation unfolded. That's where it begins and ends for me. All this Whiz sucks and hates so and so and shows favoritism to so and so is simply conspiracy theories.

Assuming 52 other players have Whiz's back because they haven't spoken about it to the media is presumptious. No one knew Beanie would say the things he did prior to yesterday, although many echoed his comments before he said them.

I think calling all posts that question Whiz and the way he handles personnel "Whiz sucks" comments is overboard. If you are bad at managing personnel, that is a problem, plain and simple. That is my target of criticism. I am simply scared ****less for the future of the team.

I didn't have any issue about the joke about going wildcat all the time, it was obviously a joke and he's human, nobody hated that loss more than he did, he tried to lighten up the mood a bit.

I also agree with him about NO not fearing who we start at QB, I think what he's saying is we're not the Eagles with Vick or Kolb, 2 totally different QB's. People seem to think Max Hall runs often, he doesn't, he had about 200 yards rushing in 3 years as the starter at BYU. What he does fairly well is move around in the pocket or get out of the pocket and make some plays there that DA won't make. But as we saw Sunday, if you are putting lots of pressure on the QB Hall isn't going to fly around like Vick and run out of the pocket over and over.

The primary thing he does better than Anderson is accuracy, Whiz talked about that in the presser he said we missed some plays, I wanted to see if Max might change that. He said he made a couple of throws there that were really good, then he missed that 4th down throw to Komar.

The most interesting thing to me was Whiz talking about plays that we were missing and he specifically said there were plays where we were "going in" (red zone) and we tried to force the ball instead of hitting the back out in the flat and letting him run. I think it was obvious he was talking about the first INT DA threw where he forced a ball into coverage, maybe the 2nd INT too he forced that over the middle into coverage. I just found it interesting he was basically saying DA isn't checking down enough, considering the Captain Checkdown stuff with Leinart.

Since I got mulli added, championed the rockthrow icon AND naming it mulli, I get to say what it means.

It means "damn you mulli!" or "Good god, don't be a mulli" and sometimes "dude, pull your head out" and other times "helllllllooooooooo, mcfly..."

Carry on.

No. Thank goodness.

Yeah I wouldn't want them either if I were going to watch the game later but since I simply can't control myself like that and have to follow the scores all afternoon I like them.

I do not like this guy anymore.

Jesus you NEVER knew him in the first place. And you still don't.

All you are doing is judging his record. You know how I know that? Because if we were 4-0, you would be writing Shakespearean poems about his "largesse" and "brilliance" - even if eveything else went down the way it did to a letter.

Bottom line is he just got a 5 year extension for being the best coach this sad sack of a franchise was ever lucky enough to get for his first two years, and we could go 0-16 and it wouldn't matter to me because he deserves the chance to have a rebuilding year and even though many of you diluted yourself to think otherwise, thats what this year is. Thats what happens when you lose stud a QB in the NFL. Period. If they were so easy to replace every franchise would have one, when NO teamhas not gone through a rough spot with that position over the past 20 years.

I keep reading "Well Warner hid our flaws and carried us for the past two years. Not Wiz....." and I just can't help but chuckle. Wiz (and to a degree Haley) made Warner. If Warner doesn't come here and play for THIS coach (becase we saw how awesome he was with Denny) who coached him up and hid his rampant flaws as a QB, he is only a figment of our imagination from a decade ago and only sees Canton if he decides to buy a ticket.

This is getting ridiculous. Just because we are 2-2 doesn't mean our coach is an idiot all of a sudden. People are breaking their ankles jumping off the bandwagon so fast and they will be the first to jump back on and be writing haikus when things are going well again (which they will).

I love how the guy who has been pulling for the mighty mite underdog 3rd string QB for his entire tenure as a Cardinal fan finally gets his wish, and NOW Wiz is an idiot. And hes using Wiz's handling of Matt as evidence of how Wiz has lost it? LMAO

What is going on around here? I see azsouthend will call me a "fanboy" because I am not getting the torches and pitchforks read to storm Wiz's Ahwatukee home.

I just think its because I am reasonable and have perspective.

.

If that was a shot at me and my haikus, I have never said Whiz is an idiot, ever. If that was a shot at me, you can just say it. Perhaps when your ripping people, it might be helpful to say who it is you are speaking of. If it wasn't a shot at me, I apologize and its all good over here.
I've been a fan since they came to Az.
