It appears that he is likely to be the starter when we play the NY G's. I know he was a star at Duke, but can someone add some depth to this guy?

He plays Center. He is an offensive linemen. He is the one that snaps the ball.

His favorite band is ZZ Top, and he his turn-offs include, Skinny Women, and Bad Breath.

His first name begins with the letter "S". Last name is "Lynch." Resides in New York for the time being--or possibly New Jersey. Is a member of the New York Football Giants.

Will probably be one of the gentlemen in blue on September 11.

Did we change our uniforms again. Are we now wearing Blue. Or did we trade him to the Giants. ;)

An honest attempt to find out some very important info (sorry you all.....he is our likely starting C against NY G) and now the post has been highjacked.

If I wanted to read the "funny papers" I'd of gone elsewhere.

I think none of us know much and that's why you're getting joke replies.

I did find this, in 2003 in NFL Europe he was listed at 301 pounds, he's now listed at 271 pounds, so that seems a bit odd. He's been cut or failed to make NFL teams repeatedly.

He's clearly a guy we signed as an emergency player not for any longterm plan.

I just found the use of the word profile to be odd in your original post. Typically someone would say hey has anybody seen the kid play not can someone profile him.

My apologies for hijacking the thread.

While he enjoys soft serve ice cream, he can't even look at hard ice cream without feeling nauseous.

Where do you see that he is listed at 271......gheez Russ, the official website has him at 294.

It is not that I don't have a sense of humor.....it just that for "real fans", this should be a question on the radar screen...... after all, once again, we likely enter the season with him as our starting C.

It is a question, that's why right after we signed him there was a thread about it and I seem to recall the consensus was, nobody knew anything about him.

Dennis called him "a life-saver", so I presume he has a hole in the middle - maybe that's where he snaps the ball thru.

Seriously, Green's remarks were upbeat about Lynch. While experience has shown that remarks like that aren't always much more than a means of boosting a young guy's confidence, it's a whole ot better than if Dennis had indicated that he wasn't sure if Shawn was "ready."

Basically, he's going to be the worst starting C in the NFL in Week 1. Maybe the worst C overall in the NFL (last one to sign, with little to no experience with his linemates).

You can find a scouting report to put makeup on this pig, but isn't that the long and the short of it?

K9:

Yeah, but he's got a good attitude. And we all know that's a prerequisite to play center for the Cards. Just ask Pete Kendall. ;)

Google Search

Just did a goole search on the guy.

He has played in the NFL for three seasons - played in 2 games, been to europe twice to play and is still listed as a Rookie.
Thats about all there is - We scraping the bottom, trying to find a warm body that can still walk. Pickings are a little slim this time of year - when you start looking at 4th and 5th choices.
He comes from Duke - so hopefully he can learn on the fly an traslate it into performance. If you have any concerns, they are justified.

He's played for the Chiefs and Vikings (not really played, as in games but...)

As Denny Green says, "He's been around a while, so he knows the system."

That's all I got!
