I agree.

So, time to try and change our mindset as a franchise. We have always, since the days of Coryell and Lomax, tried to create the most potent passing offense in the NFL. Always putting the majority of our assets into QBs and WRs. Skimping on things like the dline or some other position.

So, eff it. Go for a top defense. Win games that way. I don't care if we have a mid QB and ride a defense deep into the playoffs.

Why the hell not?
I fkn love defense. It's why I go to games and not watch on TV. Defense is FUN. I'd love a dominant fudge you kind of D.

i think we are in position to fill the remainIng holes on this team.
A dt that get pressure up the middle, a true Edge rusher, a speed receiver and some depth on the oline.
That should not be impossible to do.
It's not. We have the caproom and draft picks.

If we are sitting on a huge wad of cash come August and trying to ballyhoo the return of Nichols and Jones to our defense it will be malfeasance of a high degree

We have the cap space and the team has shown the growth we mostly expected. If we don’t spend big in FA and make the playoffs next year I’ll be upset.

As a fan and a frequent poster on this forum I would love to be wrong on Kyler. I appreciate every poster on here, even the ones I disagree with. @GoldGloveschmidt and everyone else have a great new year and let’s hope for a W to close the season out.

Please. It was a fluke pop off his helmet through his hands. Let's not make things out of nothing.

K1 assed up throws directly to linebackers vs Seattle at home, this was NOT that.
Both Michael Robinson and Steve Smith said it was a bad pass in the post game. Take that as you will.

Really? JG has a team of very young players and is getting a lot our of them. We will have almost 100m to spend in FA this offseason. He's done a good job with limited resources
This defense is not young. That’s the real challenge. The offense is still young outside of Kyler and James Conner, apparently the most important person on our offense.

Trey Benson getting injured on less than 100 touches is concerning.

The Rams did not look great. Especially Stafford. They are going to get rolled in the playoffs unless their offense steps it up quite a bit like they did against the Bills.

Any NFC West team is gonna get rolled on Peacock

Yea, I have the utmost respect for McVay, but their offense has looked pedestrian most of the year. At least from eye-test. Says a lot about that smoke & mirrors defensive personnel on Buffalo that LA looked like the GSOT against them.

I was frustrated with Kyler many times in this game but the final play was a freak. First McBride was interfered with and second that ball doesn’t get knocked in the air like that because of the throw. Should have run there but freak play.

I agree that he was shoved by the right arm of the defender but that ball has to be down and away.

It wasn't a great pass. It wasn't a bone head play. It was a fluke. But to say "don't throw it hard" is silly. Say "throw it to the outside, not the inside" and I'm 100% in agreement. Would have been a tough ass catch. Fluke bounce made it an INT.

Should have been a run, regardless.

It's not a freak play when your QB has been regularly throwing interceptions at key moments. It's a trend.

This one was not like the others at all. Freak play in my opinion. On top of it being the wrong play call.
What about the interception near the end zone the series before it? We can jump through hoops to excuse them, or just accept them for what they are.

Pissed me off to no end. The running backwards into sacks also. No excuse. Not the same as the bounce off McBride. And he marched them down the field on that drive also which was encouraging.

The biggest issue I had with a player today was not on the field. We lost this game because we have no pass rusher who can win one on one matchups
I’ve been saying this all year.
However, every time I bring it up, half the people on this board think it is a non issue. The FO sat on the money and here is where we are.

no way thats an int, but itll be called one
They say it can touch the ground if it does not move, but when it touched that ground it did move if just bit, it moves. The ball hits the ground it is going to move if just a tad. So basically the rule should state that if one uses the ground to secure a catch, it is a catch lol
The ball did not shift in his hands. He had complete control of it through hitting the ground. This is the way catches have been called for a couple of seasons at least.

this isn’t college or high school. Even an average linebacker can jump that route if you don’t throw it with some gas
It wasn’t a terrible pass but it wasn’t a great one either. Chest high and leads him a bit and it’s a TD. Wasn’t the brain fart of recent games but also wasn’t good enough to actually win. Kind of kyler in a nutshell.
