I would prefer OT or OLB or DE, but I don't believe the Cardinals will be looking at OT like I think they should. Call it a hunch.
Rumor has it Keim is keeping his eye on an undersized but spunky 5'-6" WR from Mesa Community College for the 1st RD pick

Do I think Squeak is playing better now than Rosen ever played...yes.
Do I think Squeak played better this week than last week...yes.
Do I think Squeak has a looooooooong way to go in his development...yes.
That’s fair. He certainly has a long way to go. But the whole team does really. But it’s an encouraging start.

When it comes to NFL football, the QB gets the majority of the credit and the blame. That is not new. A play caller doesn't go from good to bad based upon the result of the play. He is graded based upon the matchups he creates and positions he puts his players in. So far, it has looked like to me that Kingsbury has schemes that gets players open, and put players in good one on one matchups. From that point on, it is up to the players to execute.

I'm not a fan of the "squeak" nick name but I get why you came up with it. To me it's an optics based concern more than anything. Kyler ALWAYS diving to avoid any hit takes some luster of his game and limits opportunities where he could make something out of nothing.

Having said that I want him doing that at this point so he stays healthy enough to continue to develop. Yes the dives and slides look squeakish but I'd rather that then Kyler on IR.

I also agree with those that Kyler has to show he wants to run more often to help his own cause in loosening up the pass D.

The movie is BASEketball.

And I don't see where I am refusing to give Squeak credit.

My critique of his play when the game is on the line is justified.

My assertion that a majority of his stats come then the Cardinals are significantly behind is valid.

I have also said that he has played better than any QB that we had last year...he has.

I have also said that he played better this week than last week...he did.

Why is having a balanced viewpoint of a player equate to being a "hater"?
I think your little bitch comment screwed ya..

First, because these last few posts are the first I’ve read if yours to provide the counterbalance to the “little bitch” and criticisms.

And BASEketball?!? I’m easily entertained and that was an absolute abomination of a film. May god have mercy on your soul for quoting it . . . ever.

But he did lead them to a tie last week. Those weren’t meaningless plays or yards. That was in his first live pro action. And this week they were pretty competitive for the majority of the game.
Where I disagree is that it is much easier to stack stats and take risks when you are behind and have little to lose. When the game is close is when I believe the pressure is the greatest. Statistically, it is in these situations where Squeak has struggled. I have never said that he can't get better. I have never said that he hasn't had very good moments. He just has not had any when he had a chance to put a game away.

We still can’t cover TEs, but Vance Joseph has gotten this D to overachieve a bit. Thought Baltimore was gonna score a lot more.

He's a rookie. He didn't play much college ball. He looks improved from last week. Ever mahomes had a year to sit behind a QB before he played. I'm encouraged by Kyler, as long as he continues to improve, unlike Rosen, then I'll be happy.
me too

I guess you can now take my movie taste into question as well...

"The NBA moved the Jazz to Utah, where they don't allow music"...lol, still funny.

Anyone who thought this cardinals team would compete for a playoff spot this year is purely delusional. It’s about growth. And to be competitive in two games, one an east coast early road game, after having been the worst team in the nfl last year, is growth. Bummer for you that you apparently don’t get the nuances of growing a football team.

I certainly get the nuances I just want to win every game. You should too...even though we know that simply won't happen. That's ok though. For now be happy with your moral victories, at least those look good in the standings on nfl.com.

I don't think anyone is jumping up and down over losses, but just aren't willing to get upset over close losses right now. Bottom line is that this team looks WAY better right now than they did last year. Sure that hasn't been enough to come away with wins, but they are playing close games with good teams and that should be at least a little encouraging.

i dunno

complaining about a rookie QB playing his second game, first road game, vs what seems like a very good defense, who goes 63% completion, 350 yards and 8.7 yards per attempt

just seems unrealistically nit picky

I think it's because of the optics of Kyler not standing in there and taking hits to try and complete passes like Warner and Palmer. I'll add that several posters painted a picture that Murray would be a dual run and pass threat which hasn't been the case with the run.

I'm expecting Kyler to improve each game and KK to continue to develop and evolve his scheme to help Kyler as well.

Bottom line is that I'm thrilled with this team right now, except for the Oline.

Is it complaining, or is it just offering a counter to people who are saying he is playing so good despite bad playcalling?

Agree with you.Offense had the chances and was unable to do the job.Could improve with time and experience working together.

Ultimately...Kyler has not looked like a dynamic player. He has not looked like a generational talent. He has not looked like a clutch leader.

He has looked like a small but very accurate passer (with a strong arm and quick release) who has struggled to be consistent two games into his career. He actually has played like I expected Rosen to play right after we drafted him. Rosen being skinny vs short.

The team proved it could play to wthin 6 points of Baltimore.

Its challenge will be to play to that level (or better) all the time.

My main concern is that we don't have anyone with enough speed to keep up with Murray and contain him wherever he goes.

What I hope and expect is that - with additional snaps (& tape) - each player will perform better and the guys will learn to play better as a team.

That should keep us in the playoff hunt (although it's far from guaranteed).

Lol. He’s been in two games. Two close games. Let’s give him a little room to grow.
