Oh... so the guy on the sidelines looking down at what seems to be a play sheet is actually talking to himself in a mic?

Must say, the intricacies of American football are fascinating, good to have you to clear them up. Thanx!
There is a saying...it isn't about the X's and O's, it's about the Jimmy's and the Joe's.

At the NFL level, it is about the player's ability to execute on the filed. You can argue that the coach didn't give the offense enough game snaps in the preseason, but out of the field, it is on the QB.

So with this line of thought wilks deserved another year

Only other position acceptable would be pass-rusher(Chase Young or A.J. Epenesa), but I don’t think we’re going to be bad enough.
I would prefer OT or OLB or DE, but I don't believe the Cardinals will be looking at OT like I think they should. Call it a hunch.

We’re not going to be pushovers like last year. We actually have a competent QB & while Kliff’s playcalling has been wonky in the EZ, he’s hell of a lot better than Wilks.

We had two possessions to take the lead and he played small and without command of the game. Has he had nice moments? Yes. Has he had any of those when we weren't trailing? I can't think of any.

Playing big when the game matters and the pressure is on is one thing. Playing big when you have nothing to lose is totally different. Squeak has yet to do the former. Just saying.
I generally think you’re a good read, but man I think your take on kyler two games into his rookie year with a shoddy oline, a rb that looks spent, and a rookie head coach and mostly young wrs is just so off base that I’m wondering what you secretly have against kyler.

Not even close. That would insinuate that there is no difference between Belichick and Wilks. There is. However, play callers don't call bad QB/C exchanges or rookie QBs being flustered or inaccurate. That is why you review game film.

Have fun feeling good about losing games.
Anyone who thought this cardinals team would compete for a playoff spot this year is purely delusional. It’s about growth. And to be competitive in two games, one an east coast early road game, after having been the worst team in the nfl last year, is growth. Bummer for you that you apparently don’t get the nuances of growing a football team.

lol. I want Squeak to be good. However, when 90% of his yards in a game come when the team is down by 7 or more, I am not overly impressed. Especially when he has two drives where he can lead the team to a win and he craps the bed on both of them.

Yes that is why you review game film because ALL OF THE FAULT DOESN'T BELONG TO ONE PLAYER. It's a team sport.

I agree. Really out of the ordinary from him.

Wilson was 11-5 his first season and selected to the probowl...team finished 1/2 behind niners in the season and lost to Atl in the 2nd round of playoffs. He was 6-4 10 games and was 5-1 to end season. His first game was loss to Cards.
Yup. And he had the best D in the game a Beast in the backfield.

Well, given the previous failure with this call, the X and O guy could have given the Jimmy's and Joe's a simpler option than the toughest pass-catch option in the red zone.

Field.

He had zero passing TDs

He led the team to 17 total points.

He couldn’t throw a fade in the end zone to save his life

He turtled when there was slight pressure

His communication with his offensive personnel was poor

IF you want to anoint him as the messiah, that’s your prerogative. He has strides he has to make, though.
Lol. Ridiculous.

I agree that the fade is a sub optimal route...that being said, there was more than one player running a route on those plays and even if there wasn't, the QB did not put it close enough for the WR to even make a play on it. Also, the QB does have the ability to audible.

No. It is why I don't understand why people try and make it personal when you point out how Squeak is not playing great right now in key moments.
I think it’s because when say “little bitch” it’s gaslighting. I have no idea what movie you’re quoting that you think everyone will know.

And it’s because you seem to want to ignore context. Second game. Awful oline. New offense. Rookie head coach. None of that factors into your opinion of kyler at present? Seems kinda baffling to me.

He's a rookie. He didn't play much college ball. He looks improved from last week. Ever mahomes had a year to sit behind a QB before he played. I'm encouraged by Kyler, as long as he continues to improve, unlike Rosen, then I'll be happy.

When it comes to NFL football, the QB gets the majority of the credit and the blame. That is not new. A play caller doesn't go from good to bad based upon the result of the play. He is graded based upon the matchups he creates and positions he puts his players in. So far, it has looked like to me that Kingsbury has schemes that gets players open, and put players in good one on one matchups. From that point on, it is up to the players to execute.

Agreed. Football is the one sport that you really need to take a grain of salt with when it comes to wins and losses. Imo. The competition and parity is so fiercely close that it's sometimes about the way you play and what you put out there.. i know this is easily arguable... But just the way I see it nowadays. This stuff takes time..

But he did lead them to a tie last week. Those weren’t meaningless plays or yards. That was in his first live pro action. And this week they were pretty competitive for the majority of the game.

The movie is BASEketball.

And I don't see where I am refusing to give Squeak credit.

My critique of his play when the game is on the line is justified.

My assertion that a majority of his stats come then the Cardinals are significantly behind is valid.

I have also said that he has played better than any QB that we had last year...he has.

I have also said that he played better this week than last week...he did.

Why is having a balanced viewpoint of a player equate to being a "hater"?
