He is so good he has technically been on 4 teams since coming into the league and never made a single PB or as far as I know even sniffed an alternate position. Is he adequate? Probably... But he is specifically the kind of guy Dockett should be taking to the woodshed.

Means nothing, he played great for Atlanta and has done the same in STL.

But he's a journeyman, can't be any good right...I don't take PFF as the gospel but like I said, he's a lot better than you're giving him credit for.

I cant believe people think we actually think this way.. The Cards defense let this happen to send a message to the FO that they wanted Whiz out.. I just scratch this game from my memory because it wasn't a real game.. It came right after Whiz wanted to let the Jets score.. So they let Seattle score all day..

It sounds good until you actually look at the details of the game. The defense wasn't the problem in that game the offense was.

After the Jets debacle we changed QB's because Lindley threw for under 75 yards in the Jets loss and was horrible against a mediocre team.

So the next week against a great defense, the new starter threw for 74 yards before he got yanked for Lindley. He threw 4 INT's, fumbled twice and lost one. Lindley came in and lost a fumble himself. Peterson fumbled twice and lost both.

So we had EIGHT turnovers. They had a picksix and a recovered fumble for a TD.

So yes the defense gave up lots of yardage and 44 of the 58 points but the main problem was the offense was so bad the defense had no chance and eventually just rolled over.

The idea that we lost that game on purpose to get Whiz fired came after the fact unless people think the guy who got his job back that week decided the smart move was to commit 5 turnovers and get himself benched for the rest of the year.

I dont buy the they did it on purpose either, it was a terrible game where everyone was depserate and the desperation killed technique and caused problems everywhere.

I would think that DD will have to have a good game this week, or that Shaughnessy will be starting next week. When DD graded low, vs. St. Louis, Shaughnessy scored (according to ROTB) much higher. I don't doubt DD's effort, but just think he might be slowing down.

Ra'Sheade Hageman, DE out of Minnesota might be an option in the 2nd or 3rd round if we are interested.

Dockett will get the Adub treatment next year with the exception that all the AZ fans wont be sad.

Hes been in the league for a decade, gets voted to captaincy this year and still says stuff like "Im no role model. Ill lead with my play but sometimes I gotta do Dockett"

Grow up dude. Whats "Dockett do" anyways? So far I havent seen jacksh. Runs his mouth and puts up nothing.

Will Sutton anybody? :D

Im a huge Sutton fan. Young Dockett 2.0

hes undersized but he causes more havoc on the interior than any Olineman in college football. Hes so fast

With that said, hes not going to slip through the draft unnoticed. Probably be out by 18. Maybe low 20s tops.

Some team like the 9ers will get him and have one more weapon.

I'm hoping for us to take a LT in the 10-15 range (assuming we get a 7-9 or 8-8 record), then trading back into the first to land Sutton. That would be HUGE for us IMO.

I disagree. You dont build championship teams by giving picks away. Trading back into the 1st would take ALOT

You only do that for an elite player. Sutton is really, really good. But not worth it. He also makes me nervous with injuries. He goes down almost every game. He gets back up, but still.

I noticed DD only a little vs the lions but a few things I have read said that he was a force this game.

said he was a force in the run game

I saw him near the ball quite a bit on pressures and on runs

I would love to offload him at this point for draft pick(s). Of course, this being AZ, he will then go on to a Pro Bowl year with his new team.

Yeah. Let's get rid of him now and replace him with Talley. Can't see anything bad happening with that.

Replacing someone who does virtually NOTHING and costs millions, with someone who does virtually nothing for peanuts?

I see some upside here.

There is little to no cost recovery by getting rid of him this year. As far as doing nothing, what was Detroits YPC? I guess 90 wasn't a factor in that. Cut him in the offseason to save money. Fine. Right now? Idiotic IMO. Who's to say what the effect on the defensive mentality will be when we cut one of the D captains?

good point as well but to play devils advocate ( I am against cutting him either way) it could also put everyone on notice that if you are dont produce, you leave.

Hypothetically I would only entertain this for a 1st rounder or 2 2nd rounders in the same year or something. 2 2nd rounders one in 2014 and one in 2015 or a third rounder or whatever wouldnt work for me - I would prefer to let him prove his worth before giving him up for so little.

It could. It would be a gamble and when you have a lot to lose and not a sure thing it's not a good bet.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't be opposed to this as long as it wasn't within the division. The problem is, if players are being shopped, their values are pretty low. What did the 49ers give up for Boldin?

Dockett might be a great guy and a fan favorite for some but his production is like paying for a full course steak dinner and getting a spam sandwich instead.Rather trade him while he has some value instead of being stuck with a aging non-productive tweet king.
