Marshall did his best to blow a 9 run lead... Wow... Owings with an error at short that Ahmed surely would've made easy... This is ugly!!!

Owings bat makes up for that. Also, Ahmed made 2 errors last week so he is not automatic. I hope Owings plays more at short than center. As for Marshall, he should be on a plane right now going back to Reno.

Yep, he is our best defensive SS and should have been in there. Don't need Owings bat ( .285 1 HR) with a 9 run lead. Need defense. Go
Ahmed has had his share of errors lately. The guy hits behind the pitcher. Let that sink in. Ahmed sucks and IMO I want gone.
As to the game a win is a win is a win.

I was at the Mercury home opener and missed the D-backs game. But it was fun reviewing the box score.
It is ironic that every batter in tonight's starting lineup 1-9 has a batting average now of at least .273. Except for our all-star. Yup, who would have thought Goldy at .236 would be the odd man out. At least Ahmed was the odder man out.

I read he had a minor lingering groin issue and they just wanted to give him 10 days rest to ensure it is fully healed.

Ray at nearly 90 pitches thru 4 innings... The guy just doesn't know how to pitch efficiently.... He'll be lucky to make it out of the 5th...[emoji35]

Ray somehow makes it thru 5 at 102 pitches... Incredibly, he's only pitched into the 7th inning ONE time this season... Geeeez that sucks...
