So the day following us being no-hit, five of the nine hitters in our batting order are hitting .226 or less, including the first two in the lineup. Five out of nine!

I've heard of reverse psychology, but this is ridiculous.

If the Marlins are foolish to shift against us, I would hope that every hitter would poke it to the opposite field instead of stubbornly trying to beat the shift. Obviously we're not good at it.

I am going to be out and won't get to see the game, but I guess the results will show.

• Paul Goldschmidt completed a solid collection of games in May. For the month, he ranked fourth in the Majors in barrel-per-batted ball rate, according to Statcast. At 17.3 percent, Goldschmidt ranked among the league's best behind Mike Napoli (24.1), Khris Davis (22.7) and Aaron Judge (22.6).

• Through May, the D-backs' Jake Lamb had the longest projected distance on a home run this season. According to Statcast, Lamb's 481-foot blast on April 29 is the longest. Stanton is tied for seventh with his 468-foot homer on May 7.

Battling! I like it.

Meanwhile, Goldy is leading the league in Doubles that are literally as far as they can possibly go without being HR's :( :( :(

Just got home. I got busted at church by my wife for checking the score on my phone.

Let's win this one.

Maybe a HR this time?

Or maybe he just gets on base.

After 14 pitches you knew that was coming. I was hoping for a walk at that point.

15 pitches and one curve ball. Batter was good enough to catch up to most of them and foul them off. ONE DANG CURVE BALL. What crap pitch calling.

And this has become Bradley's pitching. Fastball after fastball after fastball. The league is catching up to him....
