Snyder couldn't get Young in from third. Let's see if Ojeda can do it again.

Look, guys, this team can't beat the Giants at home in a must-win game. Even if they back into the playoffs, they aren't going anywhere. Even their ace is really struggling. No offense, but we have no offense. The broadcast team loves to paint Melvin as the great scientist, but he screws the pooch just as often as he pushes the right button. We have some decent young players, but they are just that. Add in 1 1/2 decent starters and some washed-up starters, and we got what we got. And management is fine with it. Chance to get a bat. No thanks. Chance to get a decent starter other than Webb. No thanks. Chance to get fans interested. No thanks.

Did you watch the game tonight? Melvin lost this game, not the players. Pitching Pena in the 8th and keeping him in there. Batting Drew first when he should be 8th. This loss is all on Melvin.

I don't blame Melvin for putting Drew at 1st when he did, but he needs to go back to the bottom of the order now.

Not good at all, only one game ahead. The pitching match-ups are still in our favor for the remainder of the series. We need to win the next two.

We had the Cy Young award pitcher throwing tonight and lost. I hope I am wrong but I have no confidence in this team right now. There are too many undiscipline hitters on this team and we do not know what we will get from our #2 through # 5 pitchers. This loss will have an affect on them but let's see if they can forget about it and win.

Who are these mythical bats (aside from the pipe dream of Teixeira) and starting pitchers that were just out there for the picking for the Diamondbacks?

You lose faith too quickly and when you do we end up winning, so keep it up. :)

The losses have never had an effect on them so far. They have probably been the best in the league at rebounding from tough losses.

Why Cirillo and Kim, of course, respectively. Sorry, my bad. They did all that was possible to field a contender.

No one is better than the DBacks corner infielders, or even corner outfielders for that matter.

Which starting pitcher traded at the deadline would have been of help to us now? How many of the starting pitchers that got ridiculous contracts last summer would you actually want?

Bottom line: ALL of our rotation has been struggling lately (I'm not including #5 because none of us really know who that even is). Webb, Davis, Livo and Owings have slowly but surely declining over the last 3-4 weeks.

Our starting pitching and bullpen has carried us all year, we don't have the bats to make up for them faltering.

This race is going to be too close for comfort, and although I would LOVE to see them win the division, I think the team is in trouble for the post season. Our starters just seem worn out.

Either way, it has been one hell of a fun ride.
