5-1 after 5
That means squat at present... Drury batted .285 in the first half. In the second half he's batting a whopping .207. Hitting .270+ in April, May and June is nice and all, but when your team is in the heat of a post-season run, if all you can manage is barely staying above the Mendoza line, it ain't good enough.
Plus, his antics at the plate drive me nuts - so he's gotta go!
Drury. Please make all those people saying mean things about you take it back
Oh, the D-backs. 'Now down 9-4. They've become a very inconstent team.
I am so glad I don't have to watch these games for the next month. Everyone is playing great but if it weren't for Dreary we would be at least 20 games ahead of the Doyers. Sorry for you guys back home who have to watch this AAA team play, especially with that inept TL managing this team. I can see by your posts that most of you could do a much better job than he has and I agree. Seriously, 12 games over .500 is not even close to what we were all predicting (I was thinking at least 42 games over .500). He should have been fired last week. I'm voting to get BC at the helm ASAP before it is too late. I mean, this guy is older than me so he must know something, right? And 82 can take Dreary's place tomorrow. Don't let Bert take selfies at the park, cut off Dude's supply, make Dback Jon stay on the P&R and let Devil give his positive takes and we will be just fine. Going fishing tomorrow at Tahoe. Enjoy.
13 more K's - without our pitchers hitting! On top of the 16 yesterday, that an epic number of K's... wow! [emoji35]

• Corbin racked up a career-high 16 swinging strikes with his slider against Chicago, tying Greinke and the Yankees' Masahiro Tanaka (twice) for the most whiffs on sliders in a single game this season. He is 2-8 in away games, with a 6.79 road ERA.
• Opponents have an OPS of .992 against Corbin on the road.
• At one point this season, Fiers led the Majors in home runs allowed. He found his stride in June, not allowing a single homer in the month. He gave up eight in April, 10 in May, four in July and six (two in each of his three August starts) so far this month.
