Drc + 1st?? Hell no.
this ...
Kolb is an avid hunter; he hunts wild dogs with fellow teammate Vick. He asserts that controlling the dog population is an essential part of protecting his hometown's crops. He said, "One dog can ruin an entire field of crops in just one night. They dig up and eat the roots. They need to be controlled.

Yup. I ask this question. If Philly had McNab and a "Championship QB" on their roster, why would they feel the need to take a huge risk (Locker room and PR) to sign Vick. It doesn't add up. The guy is a second round pick and hasn't proven he's more than a decent back up. I hope they go Palmer or Alex Smith. Hell, even Bulger.
Yeah buddy, but I don't exactly know which I prefer when it comes to Kolb/Palmer. I do know I don't want Bulger/Hasslebeck. Vick took that starting job in Philly by playing like a madman. Most folks know that I am not a Vick fan, but he straight up earned his start.Love Kolb and although people are down on him in the last post, he is aggressive, can make all of the throws and reads defenses well.
As for the comment about him not taking back the starting job: who was going to supplant the Michael Vick Experience v. 2.0 last season?
A trade for Kolb comes with risk, but this is what the team needs. He is young enough that he can be our guy for years to come.
With that said, a first and DRC is ludicrous and not even Graves would make such a lopsided deal. That would make our secondary worse than it was last season as our #1 CB would either be a rookie or Toler, who is a solid #2 at best
You don't want him because of this?
Trading DRC would be stupid. He made the pro bowl in his 2nd year, slipped this past year as the whole team went in the tank. Now with Peterson. ADub & Rhodes the Cards may have the best dbs in the NFL. We also have a damn good DC in Ray Horton who can teach up our players (finally).

haha nah, just surprised its on his wiki page
“The Eagles, sources told PFW, had a potential deal in place to trade QB Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals before the draft, but those plans changed when veterans were not allowed to be dealt. It’s very possible, however, that the Cardinals and Eagles could reignite those trade talks.”
Point is, Kolb doesn't want to be in Philadelphia; he wants to have a chance to get a starting job somewhere else, and Reid has promised to try to make a deal if it benefits the Eagles. He already has an offer of a first-round pick in the 2012 draft from an unknown team. The window for the 2011 league year opened and closed quickly last week; players like Kolb, who want to be traded, and free agents who want to hit the market have to wait for the league year to open before moving. That could happen this week if the Eighth Circuit forces the NFL to open doors and end the lockout.
Because that's not what they did. What they did is trade McNabb to Washington because they felt they had gone as far as they could with him, they liked Kolb, and they thought they'd prefer to go forward with Kolb as the starter at Vick as the backup rather than try to convince McNabb to be the backup.
As it turned out the Vick who showed up last year was MUCH better than the prior year, Kolb got hurt, and Vick played so well they made him the starter.
They traded McNabb to free up the starting spot for Kolb, not for Vick.
Kevin Kolb has got to be the most overrated player to ever hit the trade market. Since when does a losing record as a starter on a team that has been above .500 the whole time he's been on the team and a 73.2 QB rating warrant a #1 pick AND a starter? If we give up anything more than a 2nd round pick for this guy it is going to be a huge disappointment.
The Eagles must be high if they think the Cards would pay that with other options available.
I'm not buying it.
No way in hell would i do that trade.
But if you told me DRC for Kolb straight up I wouldn't even hesitate. A possible franchise QB has way more value to this franchise then DRC EVER will.
I think that title still belongs to Scott Mitchell...Kevin Kolb has got to be the most overrated player to ever hit the trade market. Probably the same reasons why the Texans traded two 2nd round picks and a 1st round pick swap for Matt Schaub, and why plenty of other teams were in the sweepstakes. Becuase in limited play time and preseason games, teams thought they saw something in the kid.
Shaub had a 69 QB rating when everyone was slobering over him 4-5 years ago. Texans gave up the equivalent of a 1st for that.
