"Blue Monday" by Orgy. I thought the cover really captured the anger and aggression of the lyrics.

"Danny's Song" by Me First and the Gimme Gimme's. Actually, just about any cover Me First does is kick ass.

What?
Judas Priest does a pretty good version of Johnny B. Goode.

Pearl Jam nails "Baba O'Reily" pretty good.

And of course, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers covering Refreshments songs... :D

I always liked Guns n Roses "Sympathy for the Devil"

Jane's Addiction did a great live cover of "Sympathy for the Devil" on their debut album.

One of my personal favorites though has to be:

"I Think We're Alone Now" by Screeching Weasel

Springstein's "Downbound Train" by the Mavericks.

The whole Nebraska Tribute has good covers of Springtein that album with a few other songs.

I've really gotten interested in the band Nonpoint...mainly for their remake of Phil Collin's "In The Air Tonight"....

Also.... Living Colour's covers of The Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows" and AC/DC's "Back In Black" are both worth checking out:
