Love it. Now lock up Cousins long term. If that situation ever starts to go bad (and it probably will), wow. That could set the Lakers back a few thousand years (in housefly years anyway).

Leonard still wants to be a Laker.

They will sign Cousins to a 1 year deal and sign Kawhi next year. Lebron signed a 4 year deal he’s not leaving.

The East just continues to get weaker and weaker every year.

But man, the West is FREAKING RIDICULOUS.

As weird as this is... I might hate the Warriors enough that I might root for LeBron to beat them even as a Laker.

That probably changes the second I turn on LA radio on Monday though.

It’ll be interesting to see what young pieces lakers will be able to hold onto. Hopefully this will fast forward their timeline.

Anybody heard any factual evidence about claims that Lebron doesn’t want to play with Lonzo because of his dad?

It would be fun to speculate if the Suns get involved in any of these signings but they lost their salary space.

I guess trades are a possibility.

Must see TV.

the entire West is going to be Must See TV.

And man... the East just continues to get weaker and weaker. I really hope that Kyrie/Heyward come back and stay 100% healthy or we're looking at another terrible NBA Finals. If they're healthy we might get an incredible West playoffs, ECF and Finals.

Hopefully the Spurs are willing to take less in order to not let Kawhi go where he wants. Send him out east and at least make the Lakers wait a year to get him.

Or make them gut their roster to get him so that they have nothing once LeBron leaves.

I find it IMPOSSIBLE to imagine Lebron sharing the spotlight with the Ball Show.

Caldwell-Pope agreed to a one-year deal with Lakers.

I guess the Lakers can spend all the money they want.

Demarcus Cousins is a free agent so he could sign there without complications.

How much cap space did they have?

I've been against it but this summer would be the perfect time to change the playoffs. It's going to make even more sense now to seed them without regard to conference.

Man I kinda hope ball stays with them to see THAT blow up.

I love that if the Suns have any trades lined up we should hear about them soon now that the dominoes will start falling, which is far more interesting to me than anything going on with other teams right now.

I do not get vicarious pleasure watching other teams compete for championships.

neither does anyone else, but I do enjoy watching good basketball and since we're still building our team, I'd rather watch awesome matchups until we're ready to be in one of those.

which quite frankly, is still at least a couple years away.
