Lopez will always be an underachieving rebounder for his size IMO. Which means this team will have to rebound by committee....AGAIN.

This is what they often had to do last year WITH Amare. The only drawback is that it totally negates the fast break.

When they traded Shaq they made up their minds to rely more on the jump shot. Now that Amare is gone they have gone even further into that rabbit hole.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but it seems like with all the trades free agent moves etc...we could have placed a higher priority on getting someone on this team that can play in the paint. It's not like this team has been totally devoid of talent to figure something out.

So do I, but when you have clutch shooters, you can win many games in the regular season - AND - catch lightning in a bottle in the playoffs. Suns did it in 2006 and could do it again in 2011.

I find it funny that our 'low-post' 'back-to-the-basket' options would be small forward/shooting guards. Lighten up a bit...

It makes sense. I expect Hedo to be used much like Dirk was when Nash was PG in Dallas, which will either pull his man out of the paint or open him up for wide open three's. J-Rich will be open to post up the other PG. If the opponent switchs defensive assignments, Hedo get to shoot over much shorter guys.

IMHO, the Suns starters will be pretty potent on offense, even if Lopez is just the same as last season. I'm more concerned about defense, but it's not like Amare was a GREAT defender.
