DJ Humphries mad the NFL Pro Bowl roster this year. Not as an alternative but on the original roster.
The weakest part of the line unfortunatelyFurther proof the Pro Bowl is trash
Didn’t you use the Pro Bowl as one of the reasons why resigning James Conner was smart?Further proof the Pro Bowl is trash
His play dipped after he caught COVID. That had to play a factor in it. And no, RG is still the weakest part..

Nope
Ah.In what way was you vindicated? You said our RB room was trash, it wasn't. You said Conner was garbage. He had 18 TDs and made the Pro Bowl. You said Green was cooked. He had 850 yards. You said the D was trash and it ended up 6th vs DVOA.
The only way anyone was right was Watt getting injured.
The season didn't end well because Nuk was out (any team would feel that loss) and Kyler's play dropped off. It was not in any way due to who we signed or didn't sign in FA. Actually, no, we should have had a better backup than Wesley, but then I don't recall anyone calling that out at the time.
And this time round, it's been 2 days. The absolute hysteria from some because we haven't overpaid for multi FA's yet is nuts. Probably two thirds of FA's are still unsigned, including most the top 20.
Bringing in Hernandez shouldn't stop you from drafting anyone. This draft is deep in OLs, and we have roughly 5 picks in the late rounds. Would it not be wise to leverage their value, pass on Hernandez and load up on quality OLs late in the draft?
PFF still credits Kyler with the sacks he created himself.I am sure the hell not going to blame our tackles like DJ for all those sacks which resulted in Kyler not stepping up and sitting on the rim on the backside of the pocket (because our guard sucked and made Kyler have a conniption fit) where a LT is going to lead their man outside of the interior during a play's progression. This is an example where stats are misleading, DJ's a good tackle and we actually drafted him... BTW, DJ is a great run blocker more often than not
Our tackle play is good. Not great, but good. Murray’s skill set forces defenses to attack him right up the middle. It’s imperative that we build a strong interior line to combat what the best defenses do to stymie Murray. If we can stop teams from abusing our interior linemen, then Murray will feast.PFF still credits Kyler with the sacks he created himself.
DJ's PFF grade still dipped almost 20 points from 2020 to 2021.
He looked like the best player on the team in 2020. 2021 not so much.

We need to upgrade the linr but not with later round picksSo what's the word with Hernandez? Did we end us signing this guy? We absolutely MUST upgrade our guard play & guard depth. KM's success depends on it. I would absolutely support this signing & then we would also need to draft multiple OLinemen, even if they are late 5-7 round picks.
