Considering it becomes irrelevant every six weeks you are saying we would buy an ipad then. Who is going to wait in line for it though, definitely not a lineman because they cant hold their position.

I heard Skelton passed them out and some how the defense got the offenses and the offense got the defenses. That might be the reason for the lack of preparation.

I have a contact on Hardy Drive, and he's told me that not only is the parking lot completely empty after 4 p.m. except for John Skelton's truck, but also that from Monday through Thursday there's a huge bump in the Farmville usage at the Cardinals complex.

He seems to think that the coaches are watching clock and running short days until the last minute on Friday, when they just Xerox the game plan from the Rams game, whiting out "vs. Rams" and writing the week's opponent in pencil on top of it.

:sarcasm:

this is a classic post... kinda *******... but more than warranted.

Did you take offense to the PM I sent you?

lol... I thought I responded.

I've been wayyyyyyyyy out of sorts since getting back from probably the most grueling/exhilarating/physically and emotionally exhausting trip of all time, trying to catch up on sleep/recondition my brain.

Interesting theory, Mitch; but you don't have any empiracle evidence to prove it.

Unless you (& the rest of us) are given the privilege of being embedded with specific players and coaches 24/7 and can see for ourselves how much time goes into game-prep, how effective those prep methods are, how it stacks up against what other teams are doing (your description of Wilson's game prep certainly setting a high standard) and how well individual players absorb this information and translate it to execution on the field - we're only guessing.

It's one thing to legitimately question whether our game prep is where it needs to be but not very cool to throw bricks without having proof.

We don't know anything other than what we see. Doesn't mean we can't throw bricks at a team that is 17-24 post Warner and an offense that has been unable to put points on the board since 2009. When you hear years after the fact that guys like Plummer and Leinart weren't working hard you would tend to go with the negative especially after an 0-5 streak.

However, in everyone's haste to berate Mitch the most important part of his post has been overlooked. What exactly is the Cardinals offense? I can't tell what they're trying to do other than get Fitzgerald the football. And its not just this season but the last two as well. We know what defense they're running but what offense? West Coast hybrid? Traditional pro style with multiple WR sets? What????

Of course know the Cards can't do anything this season because they are playing with a 2nd string offensive line and 3rd string RBs.

Other than the win over NE this season has just been one disaster after another.

People keep mentioning we went 11-2 over those 13 games. Well we won 4 of those games on Punt returns!! and 3 in Overtime. I understand...11-2 is awesome....but we won every game almost by miracles.....I mean look back at the games....I just did....We won our 1st game this year..just like we won our first game last year. Carolina and Cam Newton were on the 6 yard line with a minute to go...and didnt score! Same as Seattle.....New England missed a 42 yard FG.....We convert 3 4th downs against Miami....Last year we had 3 Punt returns of over 85 yards(might have been 4!) And we won 4 games in Overtime. All NFL records.

Did the system work? or were we just leaving a charmed life. I think maybe both...but if the law of averages worked out..we could easily be 1-6 now. The system keeps us close...but doesnt win us games.

The offense was the same when the Cards were 3-15 as it was when they were 11-2. When you can't score and have to rely on games being under 40 points things can go either way any week.

One of our biggest problems for the rest of the season is that even if we ever do get a lead we won't be able to run the ball to protect it.

It's one thing to legitimately question whether our game prep is where it needs to be but not very cool to throw bricks without having proof.

You want proof of coaching and FO ineptness, Jeff---try this, for example:

Your HOF QB who brought you to the Super Bowl and then to the second round of the playoffs the next year opts out of the second year of his contract because: (a) he says the game isn't fun anymore; and (b) the concussion he incurred scared him and his wife---

Where did the organization and the coaches fail Kurt Warner? They didn't do all they could to protect him. In fact, with as shaky an offensive line as he played behind during the Super Bowl year, they drafted a RB in the first round instead of a tackle or guard---then drafted Cody Brown, Rashad Johnson and Greg Toler before taking a guard in Round 5 in Herman Johnson.

As you and everyone knows, the coaches in CKW's system do not choose to offer any help for the tackles---

It's not speculation or theorizing to arrive at the conclusion that CKW's system is about as QB unfriendly as there is the NFL---how the line is built, how it is coached and how the system is run.

QBs in this system are going to take a vicious pounding.

Warner certainly took his.

Since then---even---

The situation has gotten worse---

The tackles can't pass protect---and now the guards and center aren't holding up.

Even in a pre-season game the coaches watched on and did nothing as Kamerion Wimbley blew past D.J. Young play after play after play and got big hits each time on the team's top two QBs: Skelton and Kolb. It's amazing both didn't go down right then and there.

Batiste had been doing it for over 8 games...

And yet nothing...until quarter 2 of Game 9.

No moves, no trades, no substitutions...almost never any chipping....and on the rare occasions where the do chip the TEs either whiff or throw a lame arm at the shoulder. The technique is so bad it's as if it has never been taught.

When we were playing the Vikings---the FOX crew kept saying how the Vikings coaches were expecting to give rookie LT Matt Kalil some help on the edge---seeing as he was a rookie and all---and that the coaches were pleased to see that he hadn't needed a great deal of help thus far.

We have Batiste and Massie at tackles---did we ever hear that from CKW? No because there was no concerted or determined effort to give them help.

What QB in his right mind would ever want to come here?

Good preparation would mean that we would see some "max protection" plays, at the very least. Anyone seen a max protection play from CKW ever?

This general disregard for the players' health goes well BEYOND the QB---

Why is Larry Fitzgerald playing late into meaningless blowout losses?

How about when CKW kept Boldin in versus GB and Leinart airmailed a pass and Boldin got hurt---in a totally meaningless game with the playoffs starting the next week. Boldin couldn't play the next week....that was AFTER the horrendous Boldin fractured face incident late in a meaningless blowout loss in NY.

How about running Beanie Wells ad nausuem deep into the second halfs of the pre-season games two years ago...when he was nursing a bad knee no less?

Is that enough proof?

One of the great things about Warner which often goes by unsaid---he NEVER wanted to hang one of his WRs out to dry. The Boldin situation in NY scared the hell out of Warner because he felt it was his fault.

How about the coach?

Is anything ever his fault?

Looks like a lot of assumptions and opinions to me.

Proof would saying Mike Shanahan has given up on the season and then post this quote, "now you’re playing to see who, obviously, is going to be on your football team for years to come. Now we get a chance to evaluate players and see where we’re at"

But yours is opinion based on an amateur eye with above average writing skills.

Mitch - I have no problem with you criticizing things that you see or lousy outcomes for what they are.

My beef was - & is - theorizing about what may be happening and presenting it as fact.

I do, however, feel it fair to stack up how the Cards run their business with the way other NFL run theirs. But not by conjecture; there's got to be evidence.

Regarding the "empty parking lot" report from an unnamed Hardy Rd. source - it should raise a red flag, but should remain just that -until we know more.

Isn't this what an argument is, Jeff?

Presenting a case?

I tried to provide all kinds of support and evidence (facts) for you in my response and you didn't even address it---

This is my beef with your beef.

Everything we post as fans is conjecture and opinions. Truth be said everything posted in this thread probbaly falls somewhere in the middle.

Can't blame a coach for a player dropping a ball that hits him in the numbers and ends a drive.

Can't blame a player when he is asked to do something he is not quite capable of doing...like running a dive play with LSH.

Can't blame the players for not having a sense of urgency when the plays are being called in and we are running our normal offense with 6 minutes left to go and we are down 2 touchdowns,

And you can't blame the coaches when you are given hay and asked to spin gold.

The entire downfall of this team is a total deterioration of any offensive talent at the 2 most critical positions in football... the Qb and offensive. line.

A piss poor offense rips at the heart of a team. Failure becomes ineveitable and evident when an offense is so totally inept. This front office should spend every penny the can on turning this offense upside down and inside out. From the Head coach to the water boy.

Mind you, I am not saying fire Whiz but he needs to evaluate "The System" and realize changes need to be made. From playcalling (and who's calling the plays) to personel and everything in between.

Take a stand. Make a commitment on what we want to be and get players that fit that definition.

Can certainly bash the team for not making the appropriate personnel moves. The lack of depth is a concern but I agree with those who say most teams couldn't survive the injuries we have had.

If I have a problem with the coaching staff it is they are stubborn and slow to make changes. Not playing Powell and waiting so long to replace Batiste are examples.

That said I am not sure anyone could be successful with this team and the present OL. Also not sure how anyone knows that Whiz is responsible for personnel decisions or how much tape he watches in preparation for the games.

Here's some facts:

Last 41 games the Cards have scored 66 TDs rushing and receiving. Green Bay has scored 133.

Last 41 games the Cards have allowed 145 sacks. The NY Giants 57.

Not fair to compare the Cardinals to teams like those since they don't have a QB? OK

The Bengals have exactly the same record as the Cards 2010-2012, 17-24 and have had Andy Dalton and his first two years in the NFL and Carson Palmer.

The Bengals have scored 89 TDs rushing and receiving the Cards 66.

The Bengals have allowed 89 sacks to the Cards 145.

And then there's this fact: Our offense sucks.

So in a nutshell

Mitch and Campos blame the coaching staff for everything from Warners retirement to lack of preperation to 'too much fun on the plane' but give no credence to the fact that this offensive line is abysmal and we have two rb's hurt and bad QB's (and as much as you guys want to polish the Skelton turd, its still a turd) he is NOT an NFL caliber QB.

-Someone wants to put a tattoo on the ass of Grimm.
-Coaches play a lot of farmville
-Team wont pay for gatorade or Ipads
-Warner is scared of his own shadow
- the offense runs the same plays out of the same formations over-and-over yet no one will/can provide proof of that
-Someone on the coaching staff has a tramp stamp tattoo
-The replacement refs are the reason the Cards beat the Pats or any other team
-4PM is quitting time on Hardy dr
-and I am dumber for having read this entire 5 pages of the thread...

funny stuff boys, funny stuff

It's a Cardinals board. You know the team that has one or two winning seasons every 10-20 years. What else can we do but make jokes and laugh?

Agreed, funny stuff.

Now if only we could figure out how to make this Cards team better...hmmm

Maybe they should quit playing farmville and switch to draw something. Then they could at least 'draw' out plays and formations??
