So far my biggest take away from this game is the red zone offense is terrible... like mind blowing terrible. It's almost like the panic decision making and just grasping at straws. I don't know if BA needs to call a TO and get his wits together or what.
It's not poor execution, it is the plays. If you go and watch the red zone plays from a few of the more consistent teams in the league the contrast is glaring. I would expect to see more misdirection in the red zone... bunch formations, play action, sneaking out the TE or RB off a block, etc.
Instead its either sell out the run and get stuffed for negative yardage or spread em out which is tough when the field is shrunk down. I don't even want to see corner fades because unless my memory is bad (which it is but still) I can't recalling us having conversions with those.
BA needs to stop being stubborn and know when to give up on plays that just aren't working and get creative.
