ok, you're on the spot. is this a three year plan or do we acutally have an outside shot at 9-7 this year?

question #2? do you like the flag boys at sds?

#3 is roy green too old to ask to come out of retirement :)

Dave--

How does Dennis Johnson look this year? If Pace turns out to be the player the organization expects him to be, he's a lock. But is there a chance Johnson could beat out KVB? Maybe he'll see some time on 3rd downs? I ask because I worry about KVB's ability to get to the QB.

How reliable is the information that a guy like Len Pasquarelli gets? He spends virtually no time covering the team, then he makes a comment about Johnson's signing.

Dave:

- First, keep up the great play-by-play work w/ Mistler!

- Who do you think will come out on top in this WR battle?

Dave, can you explain why the Cards let Boston go rather than franchising him to try and get a draft pick for him? I say that would have created a messy situation we would still be dealing with. Many fans just think the organization basically forgave a first round pick and let Boston go for nothing.

What if any UDFA are looking good and have a legit shot of making the 53 man roster?

Lets hope its one of the DB's or DT Atoe.

Thanks for taking time for all of us die hards, who probably spend more time on the internet at work then actually working. But hey, we are typing on the computer so it looks like were working.

I was wondering how Rhett Nelson is looking. I remember hearing he had a very good mini-camp.

Warhop vs. Hoener

Dave thanks for answering my previous question. You're great!

This question may be a bit premature, but do you notice any obvious coaching differences between Hoener and Warhop? Do you think it's coach Mac cracking the whip? Or, are the guys responding more to coach Hoener? I know, it's tough to see, but I thought I'd give it a shot-Thanks! Great work!-Laurie

Question for Dave

Dave, is there any chance the team will go with only two QB's this year? It would save a roster spot. And is Parsons eligible for the PS? Thanks for taking these questions.

Dave - Thanks for being available to us and making this bb even more kickass.

Given the amount of time the defense is reported drilling in the 3-4, should we expect to see a lot of it during the regular season?

This board is INCREDIBLE!!!!! What a great place to get Cards info.

Anyways, Dave I was wondering how Kevin Kasper has looked at camp so far. From what I've read it seems that he is on the outside looking in, but he was really impressive at the end of last year. The only thing I've heard is that he got in a fight with 3 DBs at once, which seems to be par for the course for him. Also, how is Levar Woods looking? I'm an Iowa/Cards fan, and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Dave,

What is your opinion on Wilkerson being dropped by the Skins..Should we go after him hard or not? I personally think we should bring him in we have the money. Have you heard any talk by the powers that be on the subject?

And this is why we rely on this board to get the accurate info on the Cards and not the talking heads at ESPN.

How's Pace looking in practice, and is practicing with the 1st or 2nd squad?

Hey Denverbirdfan,

Based on what I've seen at practice, and also based on the uncertainty in our division, I definitely think 9 wins is achievable.

Pariah,

Dennis Johnson still has a way to go. He's not a great pass rusher, and is probably better suited at LE right now. I see more upside in Kenny King, who the Cardinals picked in the 5th round this year.

I have to see Johnson, and I think we need to wait a couple of weeks before we determine who will make the team at WR. I think the two draft picks, McAddley, and Larry Foster are locks. I would expect Gilmore to make the team, which puts us at 5 receivers. They don't know yet whether they want to keep 5 or 6 WR's. It depends on special teams.

There is a very strict NFL rule about franchising a player with the intention to trade him. The Cardinals didn't want Boston here--too many off the field issues, and no guarantee of on field performance. Still, they offered him a very lucrative deal, but no signing bonus. There were ethics involved, and for that, I tip my hat to the front office.

Do you call what I do working for a living? Hey, we're all football fans.

TE Lorenzo Diamond from Auburn has a pretty good chance to make the team as an undrafted free agent.

Alan,

He does look pretty good, and from what I hear could be a practice squad candidate.

I don't see a big difference Laurie, other than Pete is not as fiery as George. I like both of them.

The third QB does not count as an active player, so to speak, on gameday. Every team keeps 3 QB's.

Jeff,

I think you'll see some "three down" situations, but this is a 4-3 team.

C-MACK,

Kasper has some trouble putting to practice what he learned the previous day, but he does have some talent. He could be the Cardinals kick returner.

Woods is a very good special teams player, but he is in a battle for a roster spot. The Cardinals will probably keep 7 LB's, and I know Fitz is really happy with the two rookies, Gilbert and Hayes.
