I don't know if I should cry, puke or scream...this is depressing. I can't stand the stupid Run and Shoot.
Guess ASU can tell any great FBs and TEs out there that we're not interested. So much for guys like Busch, Heap and the Miller Brothers, lets line up a bunch of midgets and wing it around.

I wish they listened to what they have said to the media. Lisa Love went on KTAR and said they want to be fiscally responsible. June Jones is anything but. He is already making $2 mil. Say we give him $2.5 (which probably is less than he will make). Then you factor in his $2 million buyout plus the $750,000 you owe to Erickson. For $5 million you can go get any coach in the nation. I want someone who can grow with a program. Jones is Erickson. Give me a top defensive coordinator or young offensive head coach. This is the absolute wrong move and what makes matters worse is they have now heard the outcry from fans twice about Jones yet they continue to go down this path. As I have said before the only way to voice your displeasure is with your wallet. It sucks it has to come to this but until Lisa Love is gone I am not longer going to give money to the athletic department.

Calvisi said that one major booster was advocating Jones, but once the other boosters caught wind of it, many of them were ready to leave right on the spot. ASU already struggles to get booster support, the last they need is to alienate the entire fan base and lose the little booster support they have.

It is mainly Verde Dickey and Gregg Tryhus (head of the Sun Devil Club). Both are SMU alums. Dickey donated the money for the Dickey Dome and has tons of sway with the athletic department.

How does the AD and the athletic office not know all the players involved when hiring for such a major job as head football coach? It seems like it is a ping pong game. If it is just a financial situation in paying June Jones how does ASU get that far down the track without dealing with this matter.

I'm sure other coaches are going to sign right up to work for an AD that not only buckles under the first sign of pressure but also throws the guy that had verbally agreed with under the bus as having personal issues that imploded the deal. Leigh Steinberg must be livid and it's not good for ASU because that guy casts a very wide net in the sports world.

Oh yeah, this is an unprecedented level of incompetence. The keystone cops would be offended to be associated with this crew. On the bright side, no June Jones and hopefully this will be enough evidence to show people how incompetent the AD is.
Just an amazingly ridiculous turn of events.
I made a few phone calls to a few people I thought would pass on my sentiments to Crow, and joked that oughta end this June Jones deal. That was about 8 hours ago.
I'm feeling damn powerful right now. ROFL

You all must admit, at least this search is interesting. One minute it's the apocalyptic choice, Jones, the next it isn't and the sun peaks out from between the clouds again. The next it's Jones again.
