I am now caught up with, and eagerly await the next episode.

The best line of the new season, by FAR was when Stella watched Star Wars and then said:

I mean, first of all, how do they understand that walking bear they hang out with all the time "He goes [chewbacca sound] and they're all, like, "that's a good point, bear! Let's try that."

We had to watch that part five or six times. It was awesome. Including the little "let's go" motion she made.

"How I Met Your Mother"

CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" was facing cancellation last season until tabloid princess Britney Spears did a guest spot, spiking ratings. The show has maintained those numbers since and also drawn strong performances from its cast, including Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Segel and Alyson Hanigan. This year, the show is up 15% in viewers, adding 1.5 million to its average audience, and up 24% among adults 18 to 49."

Thank you, Britney...thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'll be so sad if it cancels before I find out how he met their mother.

Hell bring her back. This show is .......wait for it........hilarious. Barney is my favorite character but the rest of the cast is good as well.

Did you see the blip on the new Bro Code Book? It's actually a book you can buy. It's called The Bro Code by Barney Stinson. Gonna pick up a copy.

That's awesome. No, I hadn't heard that. I just watched that episode with dcr (where they flashback to colonial times, when the "Bro Code" was written). I think he laughed more in that episode than any other.

The show is just great. Since I don't watch TV at all really, I'll just be crushed if this one goes away.

can't watch first seasons on hulu.com.
I think you can watch then on CBS.com (or whatever it is). It's how I watch them now.

Naked Man was awesome.

/edit: No, you can't. Only the last 3 eps.

Wow...I just finished watching it about 2 minutes ago, and was coming here to report that it is probably my least favorite episode. Very blah.

Different Strokes, I guess! :D

Ha! I thought it was What's Happening.

One, that episode will relate more with guys, I think.

Two, a roomate in college was an idiot that WOULD do that. He was like 6'1 and a beanpole (not abomb) and I could totally see him hit himself in the face and say he had it happen in a fight.

The guy would walk around parties with one beer and sip it, pretend to act drunk and gather empty cans (college, cans..what?) and pyramid them and claim he drank them all. One time, no lie, he acted like he got high from helium and "fell" off the top bunk. He wasn't trying to be funny. Pathetic, really. Rebecca can attest to this story, she was there.

Another time, he was trying to show off to some girls at our house, and guys were wrestling...he picked me out (young me, about 140 lbs) because he thought he could take me. He didn't know, I guess, that I had wrestled in tournaments from 1st grade through 6th grade and consistently won my weight class, plus I was just back from Army Reserves boot camp fresh off of hand to hand combat training. Also, that my brother was a state champ in his weight class as a sophomore in Nebraska, so I had a lot of background that he did not. Achy breaky big mistakey. I flipped him around and instead of pinning him put him in a submission type of move where usually I'd just get a point, but in living room wrestling he was forced to say uncle...embarassed him in front of the girls and he tried to fight me with tears in his eyes, and we tossed him out of our (and his) apartment. Idiot.

So let's say the episode really resonated with me about guys trying to be way cooler than they are and getting surprised when someone else unexpected turned out to have some actual game.

:D

I figured out very early on that Marshall would wind up doing pretty much what he did. In previous episodes it was CLEAR that those brothers of his (he was the small one, remember) were not ones to mess with. If he said he fought with them--he FOUGHT with them)
