Dude is tough as nails. Cool under pressure and throws the ball with minimal effort. His 45 yard pass he flicked his wrist! Dude has skills and would be a great back up

We would've had a better chance against Carolina with any of the Buckeye quarterbacks

Not as of yet, I wouldn't. He needs a lot of development before he'll be pro-ready. If he has a good head for football, he'll be a top pick, no doubt about it. That arm...wow!

Guy would have a top-3 arm right away. LT has a great arm but he doesn't have quite as much velocity as Jones.

Ugh. No thanks. Great arm, but he's not that bright. I'll take intelligence over a big arm any day.

Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain’t come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS”

I'm not defending him, nor am I projecting about his future both in college and the NFL, but I just got done reading a very lengthy article about him in SI and it seems he has grown up a TON since he made that stupid tweet.

He's now a father, a good student, and pays more attention in film study.

Again, not saying he won't flame out but he seems to have turned a corner.

I'm laughing at the guys hating on him. You understand what this kid just did? 3rd string behind two legit heisman candidates walks right in in the three biggest games of the year not showing any signs of being rattled at all and dominates. He's 6'5 250 athletic as all hell and has probably the strongest arm in the country and he still just learning.

That play where he trucked that Oregon defensive tackle for the first down made my jaw drop.

Not too bright? He did know that he didn't come to OSU to play school (he came to play football), so why go to class? Sounds pretty smart to me.

Extremely talented and physically gifted. But needs a ton of work, refinement in order to have a chance in the NFL. He is not nearly fast enough to be a run threat in the NFL. He would get abused if running were a part of his game. So he would have to be an excellent pocket passer, able to read pro defenses and make the right decisions... That takes time. Could happen for him, but it won't be easy...

71 pass attempts in 2 years and we are already anointing this kid?

while that tweet displays a lack of maturity at the time.....it does not denote a lack of intelligence........unlike many such tweets from his generation,...at least that particular tweet has no spelling errors,...and other than some slang, ie. "we aint"...the grammar is not fully atrocious.

no date rape allegations.....
no crab theft allegations.....
has all of the measurable.....
throws a fantastic deep ball.....
only three starts...but all three were "Win or go Home" type scenarios....and he not only responded, but got better with each game.....(that particular trait by the way could be the most important of the un-measurable)

Ohio state runs their version of a read option offense,...but Jones is a pocket passer....if he were to come available a smart coach would snatch him up...hopefully before he gets too much of that read option crap pounded into his head.

the biggest knock on Aaron Rodgers, and the other Jeff Tedford QB's in the draft over the years was the fact that they were so well schooled in playing within Tedford's system that their play became mechanical....and prior to Rodgers none of the others could get past that and become more fluid a passer as the NFL game requires...... Cardale Jones has talent, leadership, and poise...none of which can be coached effectively..... IMO if he were to declare for the draft tomorrow(if he is eligible) he would have a much better chance for success at the next level than if he spends two more years playing at Ohio State. The modern college offenses just do not properly prepare a QB to play in the NFL with a few exceptions.
When you consider that the second string QB was considered a bona fide star,....it is not likely Jones will even start next season and may spend the rest of his college career riding the pine.

That's a fake Twitter account. Look at the handle @cordale10. His name is Cardale. Also, how was he posting during the game last night?

Go to his timeline and see when he was posting

the tweet I posted has a timestamp is all.

Looking at the full timeline its probably not the kid. if it is, I totally wouldnt draft him.

I wasn't referencing the one tweet, but the entire activity on the account. At first glance, I thought it was him, but the misspelling of his first name on his Twitter handle gave it away as a parody account .

His actual account is @CJ12_
