Channing Frye would be on the bench.
Markieff Morris would start and get experience as a starter.
Sebastian Telfair will see as much court action as Greg Oden.

Gortat
Morris
Hill
Redd
Nash

Price
Dudley
Childress
Frye
LoLopez

Never see court time:
Shannon Brown
Hakim Warrick
Telfair

What about you?

I personally would give Warrick and Brown time before Lopez. Mainly because at least Warrick can go out and get rebounds and provide more athleticism in the lineup. Same with Brown...he adds some athleticism off the bench.

If it were up to me, my lineup would look like this.

PG----Brown
SG----Redd
SF----Childress
PF----Morris
C-----Gortat

PG----Price
SG----D-Leaguer
SF-----D-Leaguer
PF-----Warrick
C------Vacant (or Lopez, same thing)

Nash, Hill, Frye and Dudley would be moved for draft picks and cap space. And I'd replace Childress, Warrick and Redd if someone was willing to send us a pick in return.

The most interesting thing I see, and I have thought about it as well, why not play Brown at the PG position (even though he is not a PG) because Telfair and Price add nothing at this position.

In regard to now and the future, the Suns are a mess especially if they plan to sign Nash to a high salary multi-year contract. This seems to be what Nash is wanting and likewise what Babby plans to do. If true, the time to trade Nash is here. I'd listen to all trade offers for Nash and others. Keeping Gortat would be preferable.

That's just one switch from our current alignment. And until Redd gets into game shape, Dudley is a better option to start at the "2".

Which is, in fact, our current alignment.

If I was coaching the Suns, I'd kill myself?!?!? 'Sure you would.

Unless it were, of course, about proper grammar. :)

In a van...down by the river.
I would have zero interest in coaching these Suns.
I'd probably just put 5 guys on the floor and direct them all to chuck 3's and occasionally get back on D.

I'd rather coach a senior citizens badminton team.

I knew it was just a matter of time before you embraced D'Antoni's system. :D

Are you kidding me?! Brown can hardly hold onto the ball and he nearly palms the ball with every dribble.

Wait. Is this about getting more ping pong balls?

Ha!! Good answer.

I am sure there is a Sun City team screaming for your services right now. :D

Let's face it, the Suns get very little from the backup PG position (Telfair and Price) such as assists and scoring. If Brown could just bring the ball down the court safely he could contribute offensively. He would play sort of like Zabian Dowdell when he was here. Brown would have to concentrate on not turning the ball over and just making the safe pass. Somehow if Grant Hill were on the court he might initiate the offense. It would take some manipulation to get Hill on the court with Brown.

I'm not against more ping pong balls either. :)

If I was coaching the Suns I would first learn how to use subjunctive in the English language.

Then I would probably play Childress, Telfair, and Warwick 35 minutes a game until we we either had one of the bottom three records in the league or one of them did something good enough that someone becomes willing to trade a ham sandwich and 2nd round pick in 2019 for him.

I'm pretty sure that Jagu is expecting to get the call as soon as they fire Gentry so the subjunctive would not have been the correct choice. As for playing those three, that idea was central to my choices. Odds are, those guys will bury us but who knows, maybe one of them will put up big enough numbers to impress some team that does their scouting from box scores.
