Is this a slip of the tongue or does coach mean it?

Mainstreet and JC suns fan, I think you are over reacting this comming from someone who overeacts quite a bit. Calm down take in the valum spray, breath it in, Amare is not out to get anyone he already tried tocome back it backfired so let him get 100% this time and start next season, just chill out with the anti amare rhetoric.

I think Amare was discouraged to comeback at his current status especially with a team that has played too well together. He made a comeback but it didnt last long, and it actually lead him to another surgery.

As a GM, coach, owner, fan you guys should understand that Amare is a decaded long plan. I think the team and organization is so confident that the Sun's window is still wide open. If this was it, they would of taken a risk and played Amare there... but even if Amare was cleared... why would D'Antoni risk the team's chemistry. Inserting Amare is not like inserting any perimeter shooter... Amare is effective when the offense goes through him.... you cannot change the gameplan that got the Suns into the playoffs and into Game 6 of the WCF just to put Amare out there.

I think Amare will not be 100% when he comes back next season. He will round off to his 100% maybe late in the season and definitely the season after next barring anymore injuries. He will be 80-90% when he comes back, sure he'd have a more potent jumpshot and a few more post moves... but the quickness, strength and explosiveness will not be near his peak.. but eventually, hopefully, the knee holds up as he re-develop the strength and explosiveness as next season progresses.

I'm greedy. Amare coming back now might have gotten us one championship, but it might have caused more injury to him as well.

Better for him to come back completely healthy, with Bell and the others healthy, and a little more bench depth added, and win multiple championships . . .

Or maybe D'Antoni thinks this IS the year when Spurs is already out of the way and we made it to WCF.

I am sure there are lots of regrets and posssibly blames. When a team loses, everybody blames the coach first and naturally, he has to find "other reasons" to avoid most of the blames like Amare's injury.

Amare is not the only one injured. TT was limping with his knee injury. Raja was hopping as well. And then you have an aged Nash who couldn't even shoot with his back problem. I am not sure what Marion's problem was but all these guys did not quit on this team. That's the spirit the coach wants to see.

I truly don't think Amare is ready this season and it really SUCKS. We blew it last night and hopefully there are no major injuries again next season.
