Dude I am not ignoring you...I have said Warner sucked *&^ the first half...and he gave them numerous points the first half...My arguement is about how he played in the 2nd half.

So you realize being up 34-0 and playing prevent the rest of the game is going to allow for huge chunks of yards in the passing game right? You know the reason he looked so good in the second half is because of what happened in the first half.

Listen You guys are idiots...(And that is for the people that insulted me first) And yes if I get banned oh well. It is insulting to call me Brenda...And if you dont think so...then that explains this fan base. My opinion was and still is that he played well after the 1st half, especially when you take How bad he played in the 1st half. He had 150 yds and 4 turnovers! And yet down 34-0 and playing as bad as you could play....He threw all over the field for 330 yds and 2 TD's and was responsible for all 5 TOUCHDOWNS!!! the 3 1 yd runs were all because Kurt threw the ball the entire 2nd half, when New York knew it was coming!!! The other point is All teams have bad days!!! The Broncos got beat by a team that hasnt won in 12 games!!! The Dolphins beat the patriots by 25+ points. Oh well. Kurt had a bad half and yet sucked it up, took responsibility for it and came back to give us a chance. Jesus we had the game down to 13 points 3 times!!! Our defense has to stop them atleast once in awhile. Warner didn't blame anyone...He said he stunk it up. And you guys must be all Blonde headed, hootchie skirt wearing, fake boob having, beer bong waving, hot tub owning Lienart Groupies. You guys sit back and wait till he has 1 bad game, and you are ready to ship him to the CFL. This is exactly why the Cardinals are 32 nd in fan base!!!!!!!!! Tony Romo has played 3 straight Playoff games where he has had 10 turnovers to like 3 TD's...He has choked in every big game they have played in the playoff's. And yet not one fan has said lets get rid of him.

I have recieved numerous Emails from people here who agree with me but would rather not post here....knowing the Lienart fan base would jump down them like you do me. Either way I don't give a damn. I will always be a fan whether you guys agree or disagree. But to think that Warner didn't play a good 2nd half is ludricous.

Hey buddy.. Real fans of the team dont have to obsessively take sides of their favorite football player.. I dont know how many times numerous posters on here have told you that they are a fan of the TEAM first, not the players. That is why people cant stand you who are true fans of the team. You are a fan of a PLAYER, and it is clearly obvious to everyone. And if you didnt clearly act like his wife by defending him so obsessively like you do, then no one would call you Brenda. About his 2nd half.. I dont think many people would disagree, but the fact is the Jets were playing their vanilla prevent for 2 1/4 of the game. Warner created the mess, so talking about his 2nd half is kind of ludicrous to me. Look, this team doesnt need the inconsistency that Warner struggles with. We have to look toward the future, to know if this team can run with Leinart or not. If not then we know what we have to draft one. Why delay the inevitable? Warner lost his legs and its killing him... With Warner, we know what we have.. an average QB who is now too old to even has some semblance of mobility left. The guy is gonna just give all of us the same headaches for the next 2 years if he remains the starter. It is kind of odd that its always the same issues with Kurt..Teams will continually try and get pressure on Kurt for the rest of the year and he will just stay back there and be a sitting duck waiting for the hit. Ive seen it too many times. It is just never going to change, so we need to look toward a future with this team and see if Leinart has any part of it.

By the way just so you know. My biggest pet peeve with Warner is that he throws up there numbers when it doesn't matter. I abhor that about him. All he does is get fantasy dorks more points and ammo for people who don't understand winning football to continue fighting for him.

So yeah he played well in the second half. But he doesn't do it when you need it. Thats my entire point. Look at my avatar.

The reason he looked so good in the second half is because he wasn't getting hit and he got into a groove. We need a QB that isn't going to fold when he is going to get hit. Hopefully Warner will do it next time. Whoever is QB.

Well to a degree....I mean he wasn't lighting it up obviously before half...so why would anyone think he would in the 2nd half? Yet he played very well...and the Jets buckled down after it was 34-21 and yet he still threw for 175 yds and 2 td's after that....in 14 minutes of football....

That was one factor. Another was the playcalling. No more run, run pass. We could have used some creative playcalling in the first half. But, that would go for most every game.

You guys are missing the point. If you eliminate all the fumbles, all the picks, all the balls into double coverage, and any misc. incomplete passes, Warner was perfect.

Why people can't see that I don't get.

DUDE you are wrong. Way wrong. I love the Cardinals...whether it is Tom Tupa, Kent Graham, Lomax, etc, etc....I just want to win. I feel Warner gives us the best chance to win. I also feel if Whiz would just say..ok No Huddle in every game from here on out...we would win 11 games...Yes Warner would have games of 345 yds 3 TD's and 3 INT's but we would probably win 41-35....Our team is built and it is proven to be a no huddle quick throw put pressure on the defense type of team...and Warner plays that VERY well.....So no I am not a fan of Warner soley...I just think he fits our personel perfectly....Warts and all.

There's a contradiction right there. If you really wanted us to win, you would have went and tried out for the team, because just about anyone could have done better than Tupa. :)

What's with the bitching about the play calling? We punted once. We attempted one FG and our running plays gave us a 3rd and 2 on that series. Warner got called for Intentional Grounding.

Who scored 17 points on the best defense in the league last year in 13 minutes?? Warner.....Who threw a perfect game 2 weeks ago? Warner...Who tied our FRANCHISE...Let me repeat FRANCHIS TD record in 14 games...11 as a starter? Warner.....The problem is...ANd I dont care what you say...If Whiz would let him run a no huddle , hurry up offense...let him air it out like Elway and Marino did...He would tear the league up. Who leads the NFL all time in INT's? Favre...Who hold almost every other passing record? Favre....You have to take the good with the bad.....Favre took Green Bay to the CHampionship game last year...and yet had 2 games with 5 turnovers last year in the last 6 games...and Threw 3 Horrible INT's in the champ game....But he still led them there.....Warner will make plenty of mistakes...But he will also throw so many good balls and TD's he can over come them..if given the chance.

Because of fumbles...which, by the way, never happened on running plays. Seriously, your reply doesn't make sense. Our game plan was working until the turnovers during pass attempts.

And this is whats awesome. The coaches purposely play it safe like that because they don't trust this goofball to protect the ball when he drops back. I almost feel like they give Matt more leeway because they know he has the simple common sense that Warner alot of times lacks.

Its a chicken or the egg theory. If the coaches weren't so scared of Warner imploding they would call it a little riskier. Do you remember thinking Haley was "conservative" when he led the 4th ranked pass offense with Tony Romo at QB? And unlike in Arizona those stats were not superficially inflated by playing from behind all the time.

They are playing the cards they are dealt.

Just so we can clear this up. I am not a Leinart homer, I am trying to give my two cents on the issue..I see it this way... what did the Giants do to Warner? They put him on the bench because they knew they had an up and coming unproven rookie QB that they had to try and test out to see if he was going to be the answer. I think they were 4-2 at the time. Unfortunately, we now have to look at it and do the same. Hey, I want Warner to succeed as much as anyone does. But, my main gripe is, this will never end. We will have these threads started every time he looks horrible. And because teams now know what to do with him, it will happen a bit more frequently. He will look great one week and come out the next week and look like the worst QB in the league. We need to have some sort of consistency in a QB. Now, I dont know if we would have that with Leinart, but we need to find out. If not, we need to move on and look for a younger Whiz-style type QB.

OMG...you really typed that with a straight face?? Every game that we have come back in last year...he put Warner in to THROW THE DAMN BALL....Everyone knows he can throw....Protect him and he would break every passing record in the NFL...Imagine if we had Dan Marino's line, or Tom Brady's.....The coaching staff....lets him and wants him to throw...They open up the offense for Matt?????Our you kidding...we beat pittsburgh last year and matt threw like 8 times in the 2nd half...Denny Green actually made Matt Lienart play like a lineman against Chicago....We got 6 TURNOVERS against Chicago in the first half and we kick 4 FG's because Green wouldnt let him throw. Kurt had 4 turnovers in the 1st half yesterday...and yet let him air it out. I hate to say it, but ESPN has said numerous times....they dont like or trust Lienart...And it is obvious since Lienart didnt start this season.

Sorry, but dont try and compare Favre to Warner. That is a disservice to Favre, IMO. Last I checked, Favre has some pocket awareness and mobility.

The Jets thought that they had won the game at halftime (and guess what? They were right!). Their entire defense played differently in the second half, while they gave us the short to intermediate routes and basically played prevent. Of course they were happy to give up wholesale yards, the clock was their friend from before the first half ended. It was only when the score got within 13 points that they seemed to change their defensive intensity. Unfortunately, we had already dug ourselves into such a hole, and our D was running on fumes, that the Jets could basically sprint ahead any time they wanted.

To say, "Look how good Warner did in the second half!" as an argument shows a complete lack of understanding as how the Jets were playing against us. Warner only looked good to his fantasy owners.

I've purposely not posted since the game yesterday because I didn't want to be seen as saying "I told you so", but the only surprise I had yesterday was that it took until the 4th week for the past to repeat itself, instead of the 3rd like I originally thought it would.

WOW this was a point threaded on AZCARDINALS.com....and I couldn't state this any better.....

"Big Ben fumbled 4 times last week against Philly. Pressure has a way of doing that. Farve has 149 career fumbles, he's had years of 16 and 14, Warner's most was 12. Brady's had 65 fumbles with years of 13, 12, 12 and 11.

AND, for the record, Warner has a higher QB rating than ALL OF THEM

But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of making your point."

That should be written down along side Mark Twain :D kidding...but just think about that! Everyone thinks Warner is a fumble machine and yet he has NEVER had a year with more fumbles than Brady or Favre. A stat I didnt know but it makes my point so much sweeter.

And another point...He probably is sacked more than both of them too!

Well, if I recall, Warner was not quite as turnover prone during the Rams glory days. These days he appears less mobile however. Kurt hasn't played a full season as a starter in recent years which helps limit his fumbles in your analysis. Would be interesting to see a "turnover per snap" comparison.
