I'm an Edge backer; always will be. I understand why they haven't cut him, but I wish they would so he can move on. It's got to be horribly frustrating.
Eh. Doesn't bother me. His benching was low class.

He had a case of fumbleitis and was looking like a 45 year old on the field. Hightower might not have starred in his absence, but it isn't like James didn't earn a ride on the pine.

Difference of opinion.Nope. His benching was well deserved.
Nope. Never asked you to. Just stated my opinion on the matter.I'm supposed to have some sort of smypathy for him? .
I doubt the Cards had any trouble taking in the increased revenue from the playoffs, in which James's running was key to the Cardinals success, either. The Cards don't want him and the guy wants out. What's the point of keeping him. It's just being petty. Cut him and be done with it. He's not going to be on the team. He's been about the best RB the Cards have had since the moved to Arizona. That's not saying a whole lot but it's the truth.Edge has shown his true colors. I doubt he had any trouble cashing $25 million worth of checks signed by the Cards over the last 3 seasons. His main focus is clearly his stats and his legacy; the team's goals come a distant second. See ya Edge, don't let the door hit ya.
Difference of opinion.
So, it would be ok with you to cut him now if he had come out and said he thought the Cards were the greatest organization in the world . It sounds like they, James and Graves, had an agreement as to when he would be released and Rod changed his mind again. There seems to be a pattern with RG according to the players that he doesn't always follow up on his agreements. James makes the 3rd high profile player to bring that up after Boldin and Warner. All of this talking is awesome.
Hes totally trashing the organization and the media thinks hes too damn washed up to even make the news.
Keep yappin, Edge!
Im glad the Cards are waiting til last second to cut your ass, so all the starting spots are taken and youll have no other choice but to get your ego crushed elsewhere.

That they would pay Warner top 5 QB money if they made the SB. When it happened, it was reported that Graves told him things change. Somebody posted it in one the 10,000 Warner threads earlier in the week. What "agreement" did Warner have with Graves?
Nope. His benching was well deserved.
I understand a contact's a contract. I understand we're short on depth at RB. BUT this holding onto EDGE is pointless. It sends the wrong message to other players in the league and makes them wonder if they'll be treated the same way. ...And let's say we DO keep him. Now, there's a "cancer" in the locker room and who's to say he might not just fumble a couple games away out of spite. END THIS!!
He missed ONE practice. I love how it always becomes plural. He wasn't doing a bad job, and Hightower was awful as a replacement. I could see without a problem, benching him for one game. The lengthy benching was juvenile, imo, and the only thing Whis has done that I really disagreed with.Your right. You may not believe he shoudl have been benched for his lackluster performance of missing practices with no excuse. But can you explain IYO how the benching was classless?
