If Beanie had better balance, that dude would have been amazing. He was **** in because he literally tripped over his own feet ALL THE DAMN TIME. More then any RB I’ve ever seen EVER. Lol

I still watch that stiff arm highlight from SNF against the giants. What a flippin HOSS he was.If Beanie had better balance, that dude would have been amazing.
He was playing great with it in the Texans game. Why would he be worse now?For one I'm guessing more limited snaps. Somewhere in the 50-60% range rather than the 75% he's been playing. And there will be games where we will be up enough in the 2nd half where they barely use him.
And I'm guessing they only use him until playoffs are assured then sit him until the playoffs.
Will he be the same though? Maybe he plays but can he play to the same level?
Or mind control from one of the white linesOr a blade of grass.
Well that’s it I guess?xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
I always thought it was a yardage line.Or a blade of grass.

That has to be it. No sx at this time, but 3 weeks of rest and rehab. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me.Why didn't he have surgery then?
My guess is they don't see him back until after the Bye week. Seemed silly to play him vs Panthers and Chicks before the Bye.
I think he is going to rest and rehab- I believe he plans on playing this regular season.Well that’s it I guess?
From what was reported his shoulder was going to require nothing less than season ending surgery. Either they (organization) reported the worst case scenario because they didn't know (which I doubt) or they were leaving the decision up to JJ. Point is he should have just had the surgery, delaying it only delays his rehabilitation to get ready for next year.
A beast that could be blown over by a cool breeze.... Derrick Henry is a beast. Beanie was no Derrick Henry. You should have said “in college”Beanie was a beast. Those that criticize him are brainless.
Henry never tried to play on a blown out knee that required microfracture surgery either.A beast that could be blown over by a cool breeze.... Derrick Henry is a beast. Beanie was no Derrick Henry. You should have said “in college”
Still think it's Budda or Simmons?I mean, obviously "most important player on D" is an opinion that's impossible to quantify. But Watt was playing just over 80% of the defensive snaps. Our defense went from 10th in DVOA last year to 2nd now, and there have been a lot of moving parts contributing to that change.
The defensive line this year is 19th in adjusted line yards and 5th in adjusted sack rate. Last year we were 18th and 9th.
If I had to guess, I'd wager that either Budda Baker or Simmons have been the most important player on the defense. They're out there almost all the time. Simmons is a matchup nightmare and has relieved the stress on a secondary that has been undermanned. Baker hasn't been coming downhill to make big plays, but he's absolutely locked down the middle of the field in a role that I didn't think he'd be comfortable in.
They all work in conjunction. Vance keeps Budda playing deep S and it has limited vertical passing plays. That is critical even if it minimizes Budda's statistical impact. Vance has Simmons playing backwards in coverage which is taking away easy passes in the middle of the field which is important. Where JJ is missed is that Vance likes to play a safe defense and then count on his defensive front to win 4 on 5. Watt was able to do that at times whereas most of these other guys can't.Still think it's Budda or Simmons?
Yes- roles and responsibilities may change, but JJ Watt was the biggest difference maker in the D earlier in the season and we need him back badly. They all work in conjunction. Jalen Thompson's tackling has enabled Vance to play Budda deep. Playing Budda deep has forced QBs to check the ball down or hold the ball longer. And Vance isn't necessarily concerned with playing to players strengths, who can execute the scheme best. Vance plays Budda deep because Vance feels Budda is the player who can best play deep S and he has a player in Jalen who can support vs the run. This is why Vallejo and Gardeck play over Zaven and why Simmons struggles at times.Yes- roles and responsibilities may change, but JJ Watt was the biggest difference maker in the D earlier in the season and we need him back badly.
I saw that Donald had like 11 hurries and that our D-line had around 10. We're not getting any pressure from our D-line, which is exposing our secondary. Turnovers have also covered up a lot of questionable D as well - hard to rely on that all year.
Are you saying that the Cards are playing Budda as a centerfielder type last line of defense safety? Is that because Thompson is more likely to give up the Jefferson type bomb last night? Either way, having Budda play the role of a deep safety seems to skew away from his strengths.
I'm just really at a loss as to why a team with title aspirations would draft ILB in the first round twice in a row if that position is effectively marginalized by the D coordinator. It would be one thing if we were running out Keuchly and Thomas Davis, but Collins can't even make it on the field.Jalen Thompson's tackling has enabled Vance to play Budda deep.
