Yeah, we only lost the #24 for James Jones. Well then, why the hell did we sign him!?! Is it going to take 2 picks to get rid of Banks? Who cares, nobody in the 20's can contribute to a championship team, check that, championship contender. :sarcasm:

Plain and simple, the Suns need to stop signing players for multiyear deals. That means no more MLE deals, only vet mins. The CBA was changed so rookie contracts are only guaranteed for two years. Is Sarver really that worried about a $1M/$1M contract? Here's hoping we sign Hill & Brown to one year deals.

I really think all the Suns have to do is hold tight for a year because KT's contract expires after next season and Marion's contract expires the following season (if he doesn't opt out). However, if the opportunity presents itself to get there sooner, so much the better. I do think the Suns will make the effort to move some more salary this season.

Jones was a nice player and not all that over priced. Otherwise the cost of unloading him would have been much higher (rumor was that it would have taken both to move Banks). If money was not an object, then I'm sure they'd like to keep him.

Every multi-year contract represents risk. Banks played well last year and didn't this year. Hindsight says they made a mistake, but if he had turned into the kind of player he was with the Wolves he'd have been a great investment.

You really cannot sign guys to one year deals and hope to keep them. The real key is to do a better job of evaluation before signing the player.

I for one happen to think getting PJ Brown might be a year too late, UNLESS... they happen to Trade KT but even then there might be better options after getting rid of sooooo much salary.
