What is potentially great about having a solid team in the east is you can have a pretty easy run to the Finals. In the West, you're going to hit 3 teams that could take you to 7 games and any number of teams could hit the finals.

Your looking at 3 rounds of hard fought battles, where in the East, you coast

What's the point if you are going to have your butts handed to you in the finals like Cavs...? I guess, you can hang a banner for east finals.
