We play in the NFC West, if he can get us 6 wins in division. All good
If kolb leads us to only 6 wins you can guarantee Whiz is gone, and Rod Graves better be managing a mcdonalds shortly after.

If it is a trade, why can't Kolb be on the practice field once the trade is consummated. Why does he have to wait till Aug. 4? His old contract should be in effect until the new league year starts no? Same with DRC? He should be able to practice with Philly immediately IMO.

Or is it something about injury liability?

Camp doesn't start for the Cards until August 4th. I'd assume that no one can hit the practice field until then...for this off season at least.

Based on they could have had Orton for much less or that they could have told the Eagles to stick it and either take it or leave the Cards best offer and roll the dice with Orton, Young or whomever and snagged Kolb for nothing next year when he walks away! The Eagles were shrewed and knew the Cards were desperate and exploited them. Kolb maybe great and I hope he is, and maybe DRC would want a big extension but if he plays well this year he would have deserved it. On July 28 the Cards traded a young Pro Bowl, talented CB AND a second rounder for a system QB who only started 7 games 4+ years in the NFL. Yeah, the Cards got schooled.

That is an opinion not a fact, until they play this year we all have no idea, but you are welcome to your opinion certainly.

Cards are already getting killed out here in LA on the radio. MAX KELLERMAN was laughing statin Philly straight robbed the team.

You should call them up and ask in LA what his thoughts are for their own team. Oh wait!

Luck isn't the only QB in this class. Barkley and Jones are both significantly better than any of the crap that came out this year.

If Kolb is catch or not a catch, I would draft a high caliber QB if for nothing else but the trade value.

My thought for the next hour: The Cards overpaid and took away a position of strength.

My thought moving forward: Go Kolb!

You are skewing it again.

We didn't give him $63 million, we gave him 20 million.

I'll say it again, if he hits the full $63 million on the deal that means he'll have hit EVERY SINGLE ESCALATOR in the contract.

If he does that, then he'll have been well worth it.

Post of the day!

Let's hope the Cardinals go all out for another CB that can fill DRC's role.

no. Barring a complete and total collapse to 1-15, he's got two years IMO, which is probably why some folks are saying it looks like the Cardinals could cut ties with KK after two years if he's an unmitigated disaster.

Do we know what the escalator clauses are?

Because if they're: Win MVP, throw for 4,500 yards, throw 35 TDs, Win Superbowl MVP, then that's fine.

If they're: Be on the roster, start 8 games, throw 3 TDs, that's an issue.
