I'm on. Plenty of room. Go on record in this thread for posterity.

I'll hold my judgements after training camp.

I agree with AZDAD, but don't think that Josh will have a starting job any more. At least this season...

It will be interesting to see what happens with Kurt.

If he starts out hot and we are winning games, do the Cards try to lock him up with a Long term deal or do they wait until the end of the season? If he has his breakout season...a franchise tag for a 34/35 yr old QB gets pretty expensive (9m/yr in 2006?).

I honestly hope we have this problem because it probably translates into playoffs for us.

I could be on after seeing him in pre season games. For now I'm happy he is here. I'm happy he signed a one year contract only.

Massive improvement at one of our worst positions.

Sorry Joshfans, but he's not starting anymore. He's a great backup, and I'm glad to have him as a backup.

Go Kurt.....

Yeeees, A real QB, who actually has some talent and the potential to revert to old form with Quan and Fitz in the mix.

I have wavered back and forth on bringing Warner. But as of now I am ON the bandwagon.

Note: Dan Bickley would rather have Steve McNair.

How would Steve McNair be available? He just restructured his contract and I think he is a Titan or he retires.

I'm curious what this implies for next year. McCown will be a FA and if he doesn't get playing time this year, what will we do with him? What is the long term plan? Let's say that Warner flops and McCown starts but has just an average year. Do we draft a QB? Is Navarre Greens qb to be groomed? Pretty much all rhetorical q's, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

That is a long way off but if he is a winner you keep him. We have not had a winning QB since Lomax so if we ever do get one----------

I like the signing as long as there is competition at the position. No one should be handed the job.

Navarre will be #2 next year and Josh will be gone. Remember Green likes big scholl players. McCown is far from that.

Count me in. Only way we could have done better than Warner is to get Brees.
