I was driving the bus two weeks ago!!!

Honestly, he was the best fit of any of the FA QB out there. Greise would have been a long term option.... but he never made the open market.

Welcome aboard.

I'm very much on board. Can't wait to see a big league QB throwing to our big league WRs.

I'm basically always on the Cardinals bandwagon and if Kurts on there well he's welcome to the party.

Otherwise I don't get too hung up on the players.

I think it's a solid move and pray DG packed his reclamation powers when he left Minnesota.

We as Cardinal Fans have absolutely no choice but to be on the band wagon.

Navarre will be #2 next year and Josh will be gone. Remember Green likes big scholl players. McCown is far from that.

Yeah Daunte Culpepper was from that power house known as UCF.

I find it very hard to get on the Warner band wagon. However being a Cardinal fan I will take a sip of the koolaid.

:koolaid:

Signing Warner to a 1 year contract was a stroke of genius. Basically we get to test drive this QB and if it works out great. If not then Warner is out the door and we don't have to worry about any dead money from his contract.

With our New OC running the Martz style of offense who better to lead it than the guy that started it all.

Give me another sip of that koolaid!

:koolaid:

I am not on board this wagon unless we get a top RB. Kurt Warner is a turnover machine unless he has a keep-'em-honest threat.

Kurt fumbles too easily and holds the ball too long.

Once again Skkorp unless you change teams to root for we dont have much choice but to be on the bandwagon.

It's going to be Boom or Bust!

I remain skeptical of Warner being able to reclaim the magic he once had. I share clif's hope of open and fair competition for the starting job.

Warner is at least an upgrade from King so we got that going for us...

We have absolutely nothing to lose.
Warner, McCown and Navarre is better than McCown, King, Navarre any way you slice it.

What's the worst that could happen? Warner fails and McCown's back.

What's the best that could happen? Warner lights it up.

And personally I don't care one bit about whether or not he was promised the starting job. McCown had a shot. Give Warner his.

Good signing.

A) It's for one year. If he does well, then who knows?

B) It's better than giving Garcia/Johnson 3 or 4 years.

C) It's a signing of a veteran QB who WILL beat out McCown more than likely or be there if Josh goes down with injury or is as pathetic as he was last season.

D) It's a "one year rental" to see what is available in 2006 and gives more flexibility in the draft/free agency period after June 1st to address needs and depth this season.

All around I think it is a win/win/win/win situation.

Just my opinion, of course.

I am in......it's atleast an upgrade over King...... he will beat out McCown to be starter but the key will be getting a competent OL and a running game to support him....otherwise he might get hit too much

I won't dispute the fumbles problem, McCown has this issue as bad if not worse.

But how much of the holding the ball too long had to do with the recieving corps in NY? I could be wrong but I don't remember this being an issue with the Rams WRs.

It was an issue with the Rams when he started out the season like 0-6 as a starter his last year there.

Then we better get a good RG in here or we're in bad shape.

I'm hoping that Warner still has a bit of magic left in him. Of the options that were available to us, I felt Kurt had the best shot at returning to his glory years.

I'm looking forward to hearing the reactions out of St. Louis after we sweep them this year with Warner.

I'm also praying we don't get swept again by San Fran.

(I can't believe I finally hit a 1000 posts :self: )

I thought he was benched in favor of Bulger after the first game when he fumbled 6 times against the Giants.
