14 TDs?! Someone warn Peyton Manning his records are in danger.

I love this is where the bar has been moved to.

Actually kind of ironic with setting the franchise completion record.

So today, the bar got cleared. Other days...not at all.

Waiting for those dudes to show back up to the thread.
Kyler had one good run against the Chargers and one good half against Miami. No one should be taking a victory lap.

By playing lights out and well enough to win the game but being let down by other parts of the team. Pretty obvious. Playing conservative and risk-averse in certain losses is the opposite of clutch.

Do you have a clutch play in mind?

To dumb it down for you, Allen was clutch in the playoff loss to KC once, because he won the game, then his team's special teams and defense promptly lost it in a handful of seconds. Didn't make Allen less clutch. Basic enough for you to understand?

What am I doing? I'm feeding the...unserious poster again. Sorry, that's my bad, leading you on. Please return to your regularly scheduled haterade posting.
You guys are still welcome to the debate thread.

You guys are still welcome to the debate thread.

OR...

Their opinions were valid at the time and have possibly evolved.

I totally appreciate you being on this early. You can celebrate having a great day without the calls out

Cant put Kyler in an MVP convos yet. Just 16 Tds and a 6-4 record.

Offense cant average 16 for a month and then be an MVP candidate right now.

IF he someone pulled out that Bills game and was throwing for about 220 to 230 yards a game, more tds I think he'd be in the Jalen Hurts class of candidates.

He can earn himself a Pro Bowl invite though if they carry this momentum and beat a really good team like the Vikings and keep it up.

He's a top 5/6 NFC QB in terms of voting probably
I'd say right now its

Goff (awful tonight, but overall season is going to give him the lead)
Hurts
Daniels (narrative)

Baker (Should be top 3, but punished for losing. However, best #s of any NFC QB)
Kyler
Purdy (He's about to make a run with CMAC back)

Kyler being a Pro Bowler would be a realistic and good accomplishment.

K1 is absolutely an MVP candidate right now and it’s the 2nd time in his career.

My point is that there should be zero talk ever about replacing a QB of that caliber which has been rampant here on this site. It should now be considered lunacy unless K1 starts to play like Daniel Jones or a decrepit Aaron Rodgers.

With MHJ coming on, and DP figuring it out, I think K1 has a shot. Need a bunch of games like today, but he's still in MVP conversation.

It seems more like 2020/Hail Murray at the moment and you could argue he was carrying more of the offense that year.

2020 6-4

Kyler Murray had a passer rating of 98.7 with 2,644 yards, 19 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, 619 yards and 10 TDs in his first 10 games in 2020.

2024 6-4
100.8 passer rating
2058 yards passing
12 tds 3 ints
371 rushing yards 4 tds

If the conversation is “who’s having a good season but not in the running for MVP,” you are correct.

He’s not close to Lamar, Josh Allen, or Patrick Mahomes (who is undefeated so far).

Kyler Murray can be an MVP Candidate, which he is...

But also not be a top 3 winner

See...everything can be true at once.
He’s a candidate in that he’s eligible for the award, but he’s not actually in the conversation among the top five or eight guys who will be mentioned.

So before today these were the odds by site

#8 MGM
Tied #6 Draftkings but they updated now #4
Fan Duel #7
ESPN #8
Whatever the third one is but I should totally bet Lamar there tied #7

He is absolutely finishing between 4 and 8. I also don't think he touches the top 3 but hey that's a big change from "Is it time to move on"
