Call me crazy… But someone who played 8 games last season shouldn’t be eligible for come back player of the year this season? Makes little sense to me but whatever.
I don’t really like the direction the award has gone, it’s now just given to someone who missed most the year with injury and returned the following year with a good season.

I like it better when a guy has a bad year or is benched for performance then comes back strong the following season. It’s almost like they need 2 awards and split the category.

They are doing this so Flaco doesn't have a shot at it.
Dude could be the comeback player every year. Hes about to take the Colts to the playoffs.

Hamlin is a decent bet there. Sentimental favorite.
He shouldn’t be eligible either in my opinion he came back last year and played in five games post cardiac incident. Even only playing in five games he would’ve been a perfect candidate last season.

I agree with all of that but the fact that he is eligible makes it really likely he wins.

According to QBR he is..

What's funny is that Murray has had a few stinkers this year, but overall it's probably his best season from an efficiency standpoint.

Murray played pretty doggone good against Miami overall. I was pretty confident they were going to win when they got the ball back and Murray made two big time throws on that drive.

Maybe I have missed it, but I generally thought the board understood that the nearest decision point on Kyler would be at the end of the 2025 season. Anything before that is unrealistic unless he turns out to be the next Watson (not that I think they are similar, just that it would take a significant issue).
Exactly I voted to move on, but assumed it would be two years from now I still am, I am not sold yet. My thoughts were he's never going to win a Superbowl . He's just too inconsistent.

I hope beyond hope he proves me wrong and becomes a HOFer with a bunch of Superbowl wins under his belt. But color me skeptical.

Quite a standard you got here.

Quite a standard you got here.

7 winning seasons in almost 40yrs of which one K1 is the reason for and the standard is he better win us a Super Bowl otherwise we need to replace him.

Winning a Super Bowl is great but let’s just focus on going to the playoffs multiple years in a row first. We are far from being a competent franchise at the moment.

He's always been Drew Brees inside a decent pocket and with competent receivers Krang. You know that man, come on.

The kid can spin it. Straight up.

Let's focus on winning a meaningful game first. Backing into the playoffs and then laying an egg in the playoff was awesome huh? You guys come at people for having a different opinion. I respect everyone's opinion on Kyler but I don't believe he's a going to be great

He’s winning meaningful games this season and had some elite games while doing it. We are .500 with a mid team and a bunch of young players.

No one is coming for you this is a debate thread. Differing opinions are fine but no one has to agree with it.

K1 is already great compared to every QB the Cards ever drafted. You can say that isn’t a great list but I would point right back to what K1 has accomplished in the face of a terrible franchise.

Let’s not turn ourselves into the Browns who got rid of a good QB thinking it was his fault they weren’t winning. Then the dude goes to another team and has success.

We finally got a couple good weapons in the passing game. Both of which have missed time this season and yet we are having a good season at the top of the division.
