Being legitimately serious here.

I could’ve sworn you said you disliked when he does that? Like I remember you telling him to chill when he did it against the Texans on a goalline play last year.
I'm the one that crushed him for sliding short before and running OOB instead of getting first downs. I don't recall the situation with the Texans, so maybe? I definitely think he should be smart in avoiding hits when he can. But there are times when you have to put your body on the line. Today was one of those times.

Sad and predictable. Could've come into the thread with a "yep, he had a bad day at the office, let's move on to next week" post and the board would have been fine. Instead it's the classic "Don't you dare offend my baby Kyler" crap.

I don’t need to say that I was in the game day thread saying it where were you?

Just say you want to get rid of K1 again in 2026. LOL

I thought he could have run it in on the play where he ended up dancing a bit and then turned his back to the defenders and got his helmet ripped off.

I won't sugar coat today's game and go along with the "D".

K1 has been great about protecting the ball this year, and it's kept us in close games.

But he cannot, under any circumstance, make that mistake in that situation. It was the biggest play of the game by a mile.

I think the SEA pass rush frustrated him into to trying to do too much, but he's got to be more poised.
Another sensible take. Sucks we couldn't get the game we wanted, my friend.

Yea, I remember he tried to go shoulder first but got walloped, & you got frustrated at him for doing so lol.

I was watching the game on delay on NFL +. You're...trying to question my fandom because...I wasn't posting in the game day thread? It's cute how dumb that is.

If you say so. I don't recall posting it, but I don't not recall posting it either lol

I think there were a few times this year where I didn't want him to take the hit either. He's no Josh Allen. He has to pick his spots. I think he's been excellent at doing that this season, until today on that one play. That one was a really bad look.

Might be the most ironic comment ever made by you.

Dear lord

If a guy at any position is getting better and then has a setback game where he falls into old habits it is okay to call them on it, right? That's all @Stout is doing.
Yep. It didn't have to be a big thing. @Crimson Warrior said it was a bad game for Kyler and posted logically about the game. It was a bad game and a horrific play that cost the team dearly. It happens. Mark it, learn from it, don't let it derail the season, and move on.

Here's the play and the call. I had the audio cut off right after Wolfley said "Wooowwwww."

C’mon man.

Chill with all that.

Why they come out the wood work after a los and blame the game on K1. This game was terrible for a lost of our guys.

This thread has been dead for weeks and now it is back on so I’m good with this discussion. It’s a debate thread but none of the Never Murray’s will say get rid of him now.

K1 had a bad game. I can’t believe it. Dude is supposed to win us a Super Bowl this year we need to trade for Daniel Jones, Jayden Daniel’s, or CJ stroud.

No one came out of the woodwork. The last month he’s been playing great so guess what… there was no debate because the “Never Murray’s” were singing his praises. A bunch of people agreeing with each other leads to little discussion because there’s not multiple opinions to bat back and forth.

Yeah, now I'm back to questioning his effort. In a situation where he has to accelerate, lower his shoulder, and take one for the team to try to get the first down, he instead panics, backs out of the hit, and costs his team the game.

Sack up, son. It is a freaking contact sport. Jesus, that was pathetic..
And............
Considering what winning today would have meant in regards to the division and playoff chances.....

God we are creeping really close to the "Clinching Game" conversation...

But I'm putting all of today's game squarely on Drew Petzings shoulders.

Kyler should have never been in that situation to begin with

Right? We may have to back into the playoffs again, like the last time. Needing help from other teams rather than just taking it ourselves. I sure hope not.

If people say K1 had a bad game that is totally fair. To come on here to say he is the reason we lost is laughable. This team was not prepared today and the coaching staff has a large part of that blame.

The only bright spot on the offense today was McBride. The oline was absolutely horrific today and was the 2nd biggest blame outside the coaching staff.

That time that Kyler threw it directly to the other team was clearly not his fault.
