If people say K1 had a bad game that is totally fair. To come on here to say he is the reason we lost is laughable. This team was not prepared today and the coaching staff has a large part of that blame.

The only bright spot on the offense today was McBride. The oline was absolutely horrific today and was the 2nd biggest blame outside the coaching staff.

Even McBride had a couple of costly penalties.

Defense was ready to play today. Offense was not. The offense could not even come close to matching SEA's defensive intensity.

At the same time, I don't think we have to overreact to this game. I think we'll get a better game out of the oline when we play them at home in two weeks. Murray's play will be much better accordingly. Team game.

I think so too but the push the Chickens got up the middle isn’t something that can be corrected overnight.

Oh please just say we need to get rid of him. No one will fault you guys.

We get it, the contract, instagram, and his size consume you.

Just be honest.
602, you are not helping your cause. Stout was talking football and you attack him, and anyone who gives their opinion of Kyler that you don't agree with. I get it you love Kyler. But many here praise him when he does well (which is most of the time lately) and point out negatives when he deserves it. Try talking football instead of attacking those when they post the truth about Kyler, even if is negative. OK, even though I like Kyler I'm sure you'll go after me for this post.

Not anyone.

There are really only 3-4 posters I take issue with that seem to have an agenda.

Stout is for sure a straight up dude that I respect as a fellow Cards fan. We just disagree on K1.

Totally knew this topic would come back up because we weren’t going undefeated and K1 wasn’t going to be lights out forever (no QB is).

My issue continues to be that when we lose it I played out to be all on K1. We are not that team at all. We are a multi dimensional team that relies heavily on the run. Guess what happened today Seattle absolutely took away our strength and we had no answer for it.

K1 threw a terrible pass today which happens but that in now way disqualifies K1 from being our QB now and in the future.

I mean, it's kind of been like that most of the year, it was just much more pronounced today.

This season our run blocking and run schemes have been very good (at least until today), but the pass protection has been been suspect. K1 has just done a lot better job of keeping his cool in the pocket. He's been very good in dirty pockets this year. Unstoppable with a a clean pocket.

But he had no chance today. None.

Here's the play and the call. I had the audio cut off right after Wolfley said "Wooowwwww."

I'm guessing based on your seat location you had a great look at that catch. I was about as far away as you can get and it still looked great.

Was in Vegas like I always am during the Super Bowl. I did go to all home games for the playoffs though that year.
It says on the board you're 24. That was 16 years ago so you were in Vegas at 8? Or is that incorrect? By the way I saw the warner Int in person as well. I also attend almost every playoff game home or away.

Don’t even know where age is on a profile. :biglaugh:

24 was a wedding and 4 kids ago. I was 9 though the first time I went to Vegas.

Just for your edification... I was at those playoff games too.... But you would know that because we saw each other there
True, but you have a big enough head already. And I see by the location on your profile that you can't spell Albekerkey either.

I'm the one that crushed him for sliding short before and running OOB instead of getting first downs. I don't recall the situation with the Texans, so maybe? I definitely think he should be smart in avoiding hits when he can. But there are times when you have to put your body on the line. Today was one of those times.

I don't want to see Kyler put his shoulder into a pile of bodies or a 300lb DT, but a 185lb cornerback 1 on 1 for a yard on 4th down? Hell yes I want to see Kyler run that boy over.

I said it briefly earlier, but he has to figure out how to make an impact when he is banged up.

Healthy Kyler is an elite playmaker, we've won a lot of games because he can make gold out of sulfur when he is feeling it.

Every QB gets banged up, it is a long season, you cannot avoid it. Kudos to Kyler for toughing through whatever was going on and staying on the field... but, on the same note, the product that "banged up Kyler" produces is, at best, a game management QB... and today with the pick six, he was well short of that.

He is a phenom when 100%, but the drop off when he isn't is gargantuan. I don't know how you get around this.

Pick 6 aside I don't think this was Kyler's worst game of the season, I think he was just very poor in crunch situations. 3rd and 4th downs and in the Red Zone he was pretty poor, and I thought he missed a couple of passes for TDs.

I think if the TD stands and he doesn't throw the pick 6 we look at the performance differently, but that didn't happen and the pick 6 was dumb and lost the game.

One of those performances where if 3 plays go differently we probably say he played well.

Kyler needs to be more assertive on those scrambles, man.

I think he went from one side of the spectrum of always taking off instead of looking downfield to the complete opposite where he’s always looking downfield when there’s space to scramble for a big conversion/1st down.

2019/2020 Kyler takes off on some of those scrambles.

He needs to find a middle balance.

I will say I wish that 4th down play was designed or at least able to flip to the opposite side of Witherspoon. That was the one athlete who could potentially run down Kyler. I felt the boot coming.

He's going to have to do it the next couple of weeks. That Vikings front is going to confuse the Oline so a couple of times he's going to need to slow that pass rush down.

Another thing is teams don't fear long runs from Conner. So if they win up front our running game is cooked.

Just think he has to be special vs the Vikings. And make the timely plays against the Seahawks.

Agreed on the flip of the boot.

The Chickens had a great defensive scheme for us. Pressure the middle of the line, contain MHJ, stop the run. It worked to perfection for them.

We get them again so we will see how they switch things up and how we respond.

Why they come out the wood work after a los and blame the game on K1. This game was terrible for a lost of our guys.

This thread has been dead for weeks and now it is back on so I’m good with this discussion. It’s a debate thread but none of the Never Murray’s will say get rid of him now.

K1 had a bad game. I can’t believe it. Dude is supposed to win us a Super Bowl this year we need to trade for Daniel Jones, Jayden Daniel’s, or CJ stroud.
That is all that was required. He wasn't "the" reason we lost, although he was a big part of it. A lot of this team, including coaching, sucked. We are in agreement.

He's a major reason we lost, but of course not THE reason. Had the rest of the team played/coached well except for him, sure, the blame would fall squarely on his shoulders. It didn't and it doesn't.

So you would prefer him to be more like Tua? The first time he lowers his shoulder & gets seriously hurt on a play you'll be asking why didn't he slide sooner.
