They both are .500 QBs that gag during big games. K1 has had 6 years in the league while Herbert has had 5.

The board somehow thinks that Herbert is some how head and shoulders above K1 which ain’t provable on any level.

I absolutely have a bias towards K1. That doesn’t have anything to do with seeing that Herbert is no different of a QB.

Oh wait Herbert is tall and has an amazing arm that throws the prettiest incompletions you will ever see.

After throwing 4 picks with 2 of them for TDs in a playoff game no less I don’t know how many will say Herbert is a lock over K1.

We will see if Harbaugh keeps Herbert. I’m guessing he wont long term.
Kyler couldn't even get to the point where he could gag in the playoffs. Discussion over.

Not its way beyond that for some. You will at least criticize K1 when he plays bad. Some make outlandish claims, and TBH I think some do it but don't believe what they are typing, or don't want to admit they are possibly wrong about him

Nah my boy 602 is just a street soldier. Tougher than me for certain!

And don't make me do the analysis adding in K1's rushing production so we see over their career total yards-per-game and total TDs-per-game for the two QBs WC, you won't like it! You can't just pretend Murray's rushing production doesn't exist!

And then just on passing efficiency, (i.e. completion percentage, QB rating) again both guys are close (e.g. K1 career QB rating is 94, JH's is 96). K1 completion % = 67. JH = 66.5 YPC K1 = 7.0 JH = 7.2

Neither have won a playoff game. If JH has has won a playoff clinching regular season game, fine, score one point for him over Kyler.

But otherwise, sorry, 602 is right. In terms of net production, they're very close.

Come on. Let’s not act like this roster was a playoff roster. We got exposed that our oline was limited in the middle and we all know about our inability to manufacture a pass rush.

We beat the Chargers by the way. LOL

KM is a has was, a has been, and a has never will be. As fans, we know he is here for at least one more season. He will either have his normal, repeatable second half of the season meltdown in 2025 - or he could surprise to the upside. We can only hope at this point. Hope is the only thing that Cards fans have on a perennial basis. It's not like we'll wake up one morning and the pundits will declare that the Cards are Super Bowl bound this year.

I said K1 is a better runner, but doesn't do it enough to be a factor. Especially when it comes to wins. I don't want my QB to be known for their running ability, I want them to be a good QB not a RB. I get it you guys love you some K1, but in what world does anyone without an agenda pick K1 over JH ?

But hey let's just gloss right over that 4000, 4500, and 5000 yard passing seasons. I'll take those seasons over a QB that runs for an average of 36.8 yards a game.

Opening game next year we win.
Board is screaming Kyler is GREAT.
Next game we lose. This board is screaming Kyler sucks.

We win first game. Kyler plays well.
Me: show me again.
We lose the first game and Kyler doesn’t play well.
Me: Not surprised.

Herbert Stan's, now that's funny. No one here gives a rodents behind about JH. Only you brought him up after an Eleven win, 23 TD, and 3 int season . One bad playoff game doesn't mean K1 is better.

Herbert is all through out this topic.

People claiming he is an elite QB when he absolutely is not and is pretty much the Chargers version of K1.

Hoping that won’t be the case but we will see.

K1 is not a .500 QB. He's nine games below that mark. JH has thrown for over 4000 yards once, over 4500 yards once, and 5000 yards once. K1 best year is 3900 yards. JH has 137 TDs with 45 ints. K1 has 115 and 57 ints. It's not even close.
Herbert wasn't a .500 QB until he got a HOF coach. He was 30-32 coming into this season. Herbert has a winning record as of 11/17/2024 or week 9.

That's the thing about stats, we can use them in a vacuum to tell the story we want. Herbert is a better QB than Kyler, but using their records as starters doesn't tell the whole picture.

You are what your record says you are. He's a .500 QB. That's fact, so ifs and buts K1 doesn't choke he's probably a .500 QB too. But he did so he isn't. You clearly admitted that JH is a better QB so I'm not sure if your debate on the topic??

And still glossing the yardage. He did that before his HOF coach showed up.
