Plummer made the playoffs once in 6 seasons in AZ, same as Kyler.

Plummer won 30 of 82 games started in 6 years. Of the 30 wins, 10 are fourth Quarter comebacks

Kyler won 36 of 82 games started in 6 years. Of the 36 wins, 11 are fourth Quarter comebacks.

Jake won games that got us into the playoffs (Kyler/Cards backed in), and Jake actually won a playoff game! That's why Jake actually won games that mattered, and Kyler has not.

Again - can you please name a game that has mattered that Kyler has won?

Jake actually won games that mattered. Kind of an important distinction.
Gah, I was about to say Kyler was better, but yeah. Jake didn't have his "talent," but he was absolutely clutch. He was often clutch after digging the team into a hole in the first place, but he was clutch.

My lord… those numbers stacked next to each other just say how average at best Kyler’s actually been, because Jake was a BAD QB and Kyler’s barely been more successful.

Both are middling starters. Jake was easier to root for though.

No he wasn’t. After his first full season starting where he had I think 4 of those 10 win from behind games, he was just awful with one season of barely average.

If he hadn’t led ASU on that incredible run, no one would have found it easy to root him Year after year that he would put us in hole.

Not so sure the “run” had anything to do with it honestly. We see posters on here constantly saying we need to draft average as hell ASU players. Or say they are great players and the Cards need to grab them. They did it with Eno Benjamin anfter one good game he was the new star RB lol… and many others over the years. Blind ASU homerism happens often around here.

Ok. He beat the Cowboys for his lone Cardinals playoff win only to get trounced by the Vikings the next week. In his win, he had 2 INTs and Troy Aikman had 3 INTs and a fumbles setting up both Cardinals TDs. I guess it's good to be lucky sometimes to boast about a single victory.

We backed into the playoffs because Kyler got hurt, but you know that.

But you want a game that matters? January 2nd, 2022. We needed a win to clinch a playoff berth and Kyler led us to a 25-22 win over the 12 win Cowboys. The lose after that game, Kyler led us to 30 points. The defense couldn't stop a 7 win Russell Wilson.

Wrong. We went 2-1 without Kyler when he was injured and went 2-4 with him back. That’s why we backed into the playoffs. And you know that.

Wrong again. We backed into the playoffs a week BEFORE the Cowboys game, “clinching” the playoffs when other teams lost on Sunday after our pathetic Saturday night L against the injury riddled Carson Wentz led JV team for the Colts… at home, no less.

So, We’d already clinched a playoff birth before that Cowboy game. What we actually needed was a win to have any shred of hope to be in a position to win the division, but even that was unlikely until the Rams surprisingly lost AFTER our game which gave hope that we could somehow overtake a two game lead with two games to go. At that point if we could win the final game of the season/Rams lose the final game, that would win us the division.

The lose after that game, Kyler led us to 30 points. The defense couldn't stop a 7 win Russell Wilson.

Come on man… this is wrong again! In the Seattle game, with the division on the line only because the Rams lost the previous game, we controlled our own destiny and fell flat on our face, with Kyler lead us to 23 points (we scored 7 right off the bat on a defensive touchdown) not 30, against a beyond mid Seattle D, blowing another chance to clinch the division title with yet another loss… at home. Again.

Facts matter.

Just debunking some Kyler bunk is all. Jake was not as good as Kyler, that is plain, yet he advanced the team further into the playoffs than Kyler managed, and won clutch games, which Kyler has not.

Thought you guys might appreciate this. Actors in place of NFL players. I can't link to the reel, but here's what they came up with for Murray:

Listen, I'm ready to move on too. He's not the guy, that is obvious after 6 season. But let's not pretend he hasn't had great moments and games. Is he probably our 3rd best QB in AZ history? I feel he was better than Plummer, but Plummer is a close 4th to me.

1. Warner
2. Palmer
3. Murray
4. Plummer
5. Chandler?

I don't think that is it - Jake showed far more heart and leadership than Kyler has. The Kyler pouting is just intolerable.
Honestly, that is a fair assessment. But Jake also put us down early a lot and had to show us his heart to bring us back. A handful of Plummers comebacks were due to Plummer himself, which I rarely have seen Kyler do when he puts us down early.
