Your imagination? Especially as I have said neither he isn't bright or isn't working hard.

Fan questions black player = Normal criticism that goes with the job

Fan question black quarterback = Which Klan chapter are you a member of?

No no no no no.

The criticisms of black QBs are often the same. Generally it is assumed by (racist) fans that they aren't as intelligent.

You know a dumb as a box of rocks QB? Dan Marino. That guy was ultra dumb. Never heard fans talk much about that.

And the criticism of black, athletic QBs is that they don't work hard enough. I don't hear that about th white ones.

Dude, I love Dan Marino, he's not the dumbest quarterback. I raise you a Fran Tarkenton who was also great but dumber and never won a title. Let's not bring Marino into this bro lol

Heh Marino admits he never read defenses. Just looked for an open guy and used his elite release to get him the ball.

Criticism of things that are tangible and measurable is valid criticism.

Assumptions about work ethic during the off season is biased criticism.

As to the source of your bias? It can be anything from regional, to age, to your personal experience, or yes even race / religion / politics. Bias comes from anywhere within your life.

As to the lack of progression compared to other QBs who have come out recently, I would encourage you to check that compared to 1 year college starters.

I didn't criticize his work ethic. I criticized him not working out with a specialist QB coach in the offseason. Something I'm 99.9% confident hasn't happened due to 1) He didn't do it last off season and 2) There's been nothing in the media at all this off season, which would surely happen if he did.

I have absolutely no concerns about Kyler's work ethic or intelligence. I do have some concerns about what he perceives of himself and his weaknesses which leads him to believe he doesn't need more coaching. And I have the same concern about any young QB still learning the game whatever their skin color or draft position.

For all the criticism Josh Allen has received he deserves all the reward for turning his career around. He's trained with Jordan Palmer every single off season for 4 years now.

This is a trope at least 10 years out of date.

I find it odd people still bring it up up when the best QB in the league is Black. Two of the top 3 are Black and 3 of the top 6 (maybe) are Black.

For example, my bias about internet bloggers being journalists comes from my experience.

I am absolutely biased about opinion pieces people take as fact.

Is writing for Writer for CardsWire/USAToday being a blogger? Seem's like a paid job as a journalist to me?

Chuck Harris was the first guy to break we were trading for Nuk if you recall, which sparked several days of "Who are we trading for?" posts here. It's not like he's Walter.

Not that I care, but putting on him on Walter level seems like a disservice.

Yeah yeah I know, I know. Don't get me started. Coached by Don Shula too, who previously coached Johnny Unitas with the Colts. Johnny freaking Unitas. It's disgusting. If you're Marino you win 1 title by default of legendary coaching.

Not racism. The "Black QB's are dumb" trope.

I can't remember the last time I saw anyone, even on Twitter, float that as a serious proposition. I doubt anyone has for some time, possibly outside of a very tiny minority (there's always one for everything).

Yet it still get's brought up every time someone criticizes a black QB. We should let it die. It's not a thing that needs to be recalled, especially when 2 of the smartest QB's in the league prove it's nonsense weekly.

When I see evidence Murray isn't working hard enough, I'll be right here with you, but you've given no evidence.

You often hear people chalk black QB’s success up to the gifts they were born with. Because of course no work went into becoming the first overall pick in the nfl draft as a 5’9 QB. I believe a poster here used a similar phrase already.

Except I haven't said he isn't working hard enough. I've said hitting the gym every day is working on the wrong things.

Ridiculous. You're literally telling a professional athlete, #1 overall pick, how he should maintain his own fitness. It's hard to take you seriously when you do this.

Sweet Jesus. I said Kyler wasn't created by his father (as some seem to suggest and other than biologically), it was his natural talent and ability. No doubt helped by early coaching from his father, but that he passed the level of coaching his Dad could offer him back in high school. This was said in the context of posters eyeing Kevin Murray as some kind of QB guru (don't forget David Blough) when in fact he's an average high school level QB coach who just happened to have a gifted son willing to put the work in.

I normally don't mention the hard work part, considering every single player who makes the NFL has to work extremely hard. When I mention the sky, I normally don't mention it's Blue either.

What I didn't do was down my gown and pointy hat and say "Shucks Jethro. It's a good job that dark fellow can run can we all know they dumb as a box of rocks" as you rather rudely intimated.

You don't even know how long he hits the gym for. How long he practices. How long he throws to receivers. Or how long he works with a QB coach. You don't know. Yet you spout nonsense.

There's some real reading comprehension difficulties round here. It's tough arguing points you haven't made.

Kyler can do what the hell he likes in the gym. Where have I suggested how he "Maintains his own fitness" or do you think that I think he should be working with a QB coach on his wind sprints?

QB coaches don't work on fitness. They work on technique and the mental aspects of the game. Large chunks of the time are spent on film study.

Right...based on ZERO EVIDENCE.

BritCard I think you need to stop cross dressing. The fact that you haven't proven you aren't cross dressing is proof that you are.

I don't care the slightest bit about 3 of those things which is why I haven't once mentioned them. The one I do care about I know he isn't doing considering his fitness coach says he's been in his gym in Texas every day.

I must have misunderstood when you said, "I've said hitting the gym every day is working on the wrong things." Are you not suggesting how he should maintain his fitness? As for the rest of your nonsense, you're parsing words, I never said QB coaches worked on fitness. I'd argue you're the one who can't read frankly.

I do cross dress and I will keep it up thanks.

And stop this bullcrap about "You don't know he isn't working with a QB coach". It's nonsense. We all KNOW he isn't working with a QB coach. It's not a big secret. Every season the whole NFL knows which QB is training with which coach.

So stop the "The lack of evidence isn't evidence" nonsense. It is evidence. He isn't.

Murray improved in 2020. Murray will need to raise his game to be a top 7 QB (which I expect) in 2021. I just don't want QBs to be treading Stafford line for years. That will make teams and fans hang to hope that next year will be better. And 9 years later, looking back, all there will be is one playoff win to show for all the hope.

Yeah you did misunderstand me. Considering I meant I want him working with a QB coach not in the gym every day.

Personally I hate the fact that BritCard thinks the French are vastly superior to Brits. I mean, I’ve never seen him state anything contrary to that, so it must be right.
