Ok I'm done being nice.

Yes Warner is better now than Matt, but who cares.

This is going to be the MO of every team from now til doomsday.

Get to Warner and you win.

Let the Matt/Beenie era begin, this is stupid to keep trying to relive past glory, every good team is going to rush Warner, we need a running game and a new QB, period.

If you feel we are not a playoff team this season then I agree with you. I have to feel that Warner gives us the best chance to win this year so I am still looking for him to stay under center but Matt needs to get his chances. He will probably get killed behind this line like he has every other season however. I don't think there will be a running game behind this line. They have to go to a attacking offense for 4 qts. Whis did not do that in the first qt and the team stunk. Another home loss.

Kurt Warner was signed to be the starter. Maybe it doesn't make a big difference, but it could. The same strategy would work for Leinart. Make Leinart scramble and he will be making mistakes as well and probably more than Warner. I do think Leinart should have got more playing time in this one and Kurt Warner shouldn't be out there throwing 50+ passes.

If we lose to either Houston or Seattle I'd be considering it but right now the problem isn't Kurt the problem is the OL and the pass defense.

Miami dominated them on the ground, we couldn't run on them, and alot of that was the OL, who also couldn't pass block.

I'd like to see a lot more Beanie after the bye, if Whiz can run the ball more and keep Kurt effective that's great, if he can't, then go to Matt.

Threw the ball on all but two downs in the 2nd half and stunk then too.

With the pathetic state of the offensive line I don't know what Whis can do.

Several people saw this coming. A horrible pass defense vs one of the best passing attacks in the NFL = lots of points for Indy. However, most of those same people thought the O could hang with them.

Yes, but a 26 year old making mistakes is easier to stomach than an 40 year old making mistakes. Stick a fork in Kurt. He's either going to end his career hurt or riding the bench. Should have sung his swan song and forever cursed Clancy. We either let Matt prove he can start, waste a season with Warner holding the ball too long and TH making 200 catches, or blow it up and go for broke on a rookie. Whis, if anything, is not patient. He was not patient with Matt, and I doubt he will be patient with Kurt.

Kurt Warner still gives this team the best chance to win. It's not as if Matt Leinart would turn anything around, so it'd be like calling this a lost season after just 3 weeks. Too early to replace your starter when your starter just last weekend had one of the best weeks of his career. Again tho, I do agree that Matt should have got more playing time in this game.

He can kick them in the ass and try and make them work better as a unit. The Oline as a group sucked bad tonight. The O lost balls in the redzone. Had they not this would have been a different game. Have to score inside the 10 in the NFL. That simple.

Well then our best chance is just not good enough. Oline aside, does the Kurt who holds onto the ball to long and misses wide open receivers look like the Kurt from last year or the Kurt from his last years in NY and STL?

I wonder what changed his mind. Would he really have been offered a contract with SF?

No, it was just a ploy by the 49ers to get the Cards to overpay Warner. At least that's what some 49er fans have told me.

Your Warner bias and man love is beyond stale. Just go away already.

Watched Warner's post game press conference. In regards to the pick before half, he lays out his case for why Fitz should have caught it, says he didn't see what happened on the play, even though Whis in his conference says Q was 1st read (Q was held at the collar by the eventual interceptor. Kurt watched the whole thing. Weird.) Kurt says he's not sure if Larry didn't make the play or if he didn't make the throw. What he should have said was:

I, Kurt Warner, am past my prime. I have not ever, and wil not now, take the blame for mistakes I have made. I will plead ignorance and or throw you under the bus. I am a charitable man and a man of faith, but when it comes to the game of football I can do no wrong. Praise be to Brenda.

Maybe coach Whisenhunt should use Matt in the "no huddle package." I wonder how Kurt would like that. When Whisenhunt first implemented that BS I knew we were in for it. Haley saved his ass and now we are back for more.

Talk about the man's inadequacies between the lines all you like. But making personal attacks on his faith and his wife is only serves to illustrate your own shortcomings.

He's a selfish football player.

That statement should qualify for your approval.

Sorry...he is right. As I watched the game last night, I replayed almost every single play on my DVR where Warner was sacked, rushed or threw early. You want to know the average number of seconds he had before the pocket collapsed on those plays?

2. Freaking 2 seconds. Putting Matt back there does nothing for you but probably gets your future QB injured. This was no on Warner and he still gives the team the best chance to win.

Once again point completely missed.

I don't claim Matt could work miracles with what Warner had to deal with, but if Matt plays I bet they gameplan to run a ton more, same with the 49ers and in both cases a conservative gameplan that emphasizes the run and the knowledge the rest of the team has to carry the weight, ie balance, to have a chance makes us much more likely to win both games IMO.

The coaches have Warner goggles, they see everything through what he can do, I submit it's time to take those off and move on.

Yes. That's fair to say.

I have even wondered if he isn't hiding physical disablements (hip - in preseason, now shoulder - not throwing long except once in this game) to stay in the game when maybe he needs to remove himself because he may be hurting the team.

But the entire team and coaching staff needs to take blame for that crap last night.

Oh it's not just on him, I really feel he's destructive in some ways because of how he is but he's not horrible, he got them to the SB, but when things go wrong he tends to hang out at the Greyhound terminal and start tossing people.

Ever wonder why St. Louis cut him loose?

He could of retired there I think had he told them he was hurt instead of claiming he was fine when it was obvious he wasn't.

Of course it was that's what I was complaining about at the time. Anybody who's watched the 49ers knows Singletary wouldn't run an offense like ours and that's what Kurt wants to do.

They were driving our price up plain and simple.

Want me to draw them for you? I got all day. The thing is I will admit to mine. He was in a press conference, dodging any blame. He can do no wrong. Just ask him.
