He has never developed a young qb
He worked mostly with veterans qbs ( delhomme, manning, rivers)
Not a good sign

It really doesn't matter who the OC is if Keim doesn't fix the line and find a quarterback.
And Defilippo was never coming here to be OC when Russell Wilson is knocking at his door.

Actually it's a sign that QBOF ain't being drafted this year, unless they luck into one. It will be a 2nd or 3rd rounder, with a veteran starter coming in.

I don't like the hire, but I understand it.

Our head coach doesn't have any head coaching experience and only one year of coordinating experience. Our DC doesn't have any coordinating experience. Getting an OC with head coaching and coordinating experience makes a lot of sense, although I would have preferred a more innovative OC.

It’s just UNBELIEVABLE how this dude keeps getting jobs.

“Let’s hire a guy who rode Manning’s coattails, sucked as a HC with a good QB, and was abysmal with bad QBs and wasted good talent at the RB and WR positions with poor scheming.”

I'm comfortable with this choice. In fact, I even like it. The head coaching experience really stands out to me as important... much better than JDP and the whole coaching staff running around winging it.

So mcooy has been chosen cause of his head coach experience ( negative record )
His role is a sort of tutor of our head coach?

I was listening to Bill Polian and a couple of other coaches on NFL Radio the other day and they really pushed how important it is for a younger guy with less experience to have someone around him that can guide some of the mistakes they made previously as head coaches. They didn't mention names, but talked about some key young coaches that they worked with that would sometimes spend additional hours taking guidance from that previous HC.

Wilks has been around the block, but with less coordinator experience, and it seems like that may have had an influence in this hire.

People complaining that he has not developed any young quarterbacks. Did the so called greatest coach of all time do that in his time with Cards? Also, what top rated OC is available or would sign with this franchise after looking at current state of offense?
